Hmmm... It's a very crappy situation... Sorta the same for anyone who bought a HD-DVD player... They are redudant and cost a fair bit... They dont make movies for them any more... They have to upgrade to BLURAY... SCT should be able to make a program to reflash the XCAL1's with an updated software for those who want a custom tune... And when they do it, fix the "bug" that allows existing companies etc to unlock boxes... Hence, making them only usable by one person and never used again... (Or maybe under extreme circumstances ie. written off car, SCT only can take off a VIN no.) The response from SCT is ridiculous. It would be like Microsoft creating an update in Word that only allowed you to read and print existing files that had been created, but not allowing you to create new ones or edit existing files... Imagine the uproar... You have paid big $$$ for reusable software, but they have decided to end your use of it when they felt like it. It's wrong...
