  1. I got the same thing but ford say it will continue to happen with the extra power. My bf2 has 297rwkw and I aint keen to keep replacing them (especially when they quoted me $1,100!!) Can you get better ones to cope with the extra power/torque? Maybe xr8, gt, f6? Cheers,
  2. The exact same thing is hapening with my car. My issue is I don't have books, so I don't know which fuse is which. Can someone be a champ and post a diagram of the fuse panel. Thanks heaps.
  3. my bf has come up with the same thing - error code po420 catalyst system effiency below threshold. It has had a custom tune since the 200cpi cat went in. However, the car does seem to miss when it is on idle and has droped a bit of power.
  4. Thanks for the input guys. Cos I'm pretty new to this, I was more concerned that with those mods the tuner did not unlock the full potential of the car, and considering the cash I spent on it I wanted to make sure I got the goods. It is running 15psi btw. Dyno sheet I got didn't show torque figures. I floged a ve gts with a full walkinshaw exhaust the other day, so over all happy with that. Guess I better take it to the strip.
  5. I had my first round of mods completed last week on the bf xr6t. They include 60lb injectors, hi flo cat, hdi cooler, upgraded actuator and wastegate port, f6 snorkel, k&n filter and custom tune. Considering these mods, as compared with other cars with the same mods, I thought I was thinking I'd get 310-320rwkw. I was a bit dirty when the car came off the dyno at 297rwkw. In your opinion, should the car be making more kw? I know what I need for more power, but would a tune from another shop or a different dyno make a difference? Cheers.
  6. easy as job mate. I used the above link and found another post with the exact measurements that are spot on. I borrowed a mates dremel and couldn't go wrong. Snorkel cost me $80 bucks from ford and K&N filter for $110. Theres a little bit of flutter, but you realy notice it when you run a bit more boost through (custom tune). I was going to get a growler but saw too many people caning them, and favouring this mod.
  7. got word from ford today it was a loose manifold...coverd by warranty, no questions asked. flashed it back to stock and all was sweet.
  8. My bf xr6t (80,000ks) has developed the same ticking noise when cold. Taking it to ford tomorrow due to warranty running out in 4 days. Would this be covered by fords warranty? Also, I only realy noticed this after I flash tuned it. Will post again to give feedback from ford. Cheers

  10. Hi guys. Got an X3 capa tuner yesterday and tuned the bf xt6 to capa's 10psi tune. Very happy with the performance but concerned when I saw the boost gauge sitting on 13psi (doesn't spike and drop back but holds the 13psi). The car has only had a f6 snorkel and k&n filter added. Any ideas what could be causing this? What negative effects to the car could arise if I left it running 3psi over the tune?? Thanks,
  11. just bought bf xr6t 78000ks. under acceleration there is a slight rattle/tick noise coming from the right hand side of the engine. ive heard it before in falcon taxi's ive been in. any ideas what it could be? cheers.
