Yes there are to many variables mate,some people think Ford have just grabbed the b-series 270 barra and whacked a smaller snail on it and dumped it in the FG but that isnt the case,the FG is quite unique (engine wise) to the b-series. 1.compression. 2.vertical throttle body. 3.crossover. 4.intercooler (plumbing). 5.turbo. what else

Yeah ok mate pull the other 1,tell me why G6ET's are pulling 12.8's very frequently as a stock package and I have never seen BF F6 pull under the 13.0 mark,explain that,and at the end of the day your comparing apples with oranges mate coz if you wanna get technical you should be comparing the BF XR6T VS FG XR6T (clear winner FG) and then the BF F6/R-spec VS FG F6 (clear winner?FG).
  9. Dont get to cocky mate,I have had 2 run ins with BF F6's and they both got beat only by a car length or so but a wins a win I wish B-series owners would not under estimate the smaller snail,coz it will bite you on the ass when you least expect it.

The Territory is not a bloody 4x4 its an SUV,its AWD sure but yeah there is a difference where say the landcruiser has hub lock options and high and low gear ratio's,similar to that of a splitter in a truck gearbox,you wanna see a Territory 4x4?Go to the Ford discovery centre in Geelong,awesome.

  13. With the support of a bigger cooler and the hot side airbox id say they would probably run cooler than stock. Dare say thermostat got done to,usually does regardless,tuner wont tell ya they just do it 90% of the time along with the spark plug re-gap.

  15. I have the Turbosmart Kompact dualport on my FG XR6T and its set to vent and sounds awesome,not too loud but enough to let Late model camira drivers know not to farrk with ya.

It makes me cry that you guys even compare an FPV model being the BF F6 against a standard Ford model being the FG XR6T (which is quicker hands down) why dont you do the fair test against the BF FPV F6 & the FG FPV F6,once again the FG wins hands down.Yes the BF may be more tunable for stupid amounts of power on the std turbo but all that sh*t aside and the FG is a winner in my eyes,not being biased but face it,its newer and better in almost every single way.Glad you went the FG mate enjoy every minute of it.

Excuse your XR comments mate,not everyone wants a single spinner with the grandad/queen options with base model suspension and interior that is ruined if you fart near the car,the XR6T is the cult car of aussie motoring history and the re-badged fairmont should count itself lucky for having an XR engine as an option,atleast in the XR range you have the choice of a V8,The XR range is respected highly as it has been around for nearly 20 years,most people would ask WTF is a G6ET (pig latin?) if they were to ask what you drive.

  22. Cant find a pic anywhere mate but take out the lower section of your airbox and cut an opening as much as possible.
  23. Best bang for buck mate would be what a member of the bseries site did and that is to just cut the entire lower section of the airbox out (neatly dont butcher it and this gives you ten times the effect of the F6 2ndry intake and costs sweet F.A. he recommended this to many a member and we all sold our F6 snorkels on Ebay the following day.This was obviously when I had the beloved BA. Simon at Nizpro stated somewhere on his own forum's that a BOV on the barra 6t's that a BOV is as restrictive as a centre muffler,you dont need it.that was his words but I have the same BOV as you PHANTM and yes it is vented running a twin air 6 inch pod and 4 inch piping so she sneezes fairly loud for standard boost.Hows your car going?
