in the 21st century you also get nuked hamburgers on demand..... however I like mine cooked the old fashioned 20th century way. just like fast food, the auto has also overtaken the manual as most peoples of choice car. So to hell with it, lets all get lazy and fat and just enjoy the comforts of the 21st century of doing "fark all".

I never said it takes away from "the driving experience".... I did say I have one of each and the manual is much more "of a drivers car". I will also say that no matter how refined an auto is, it will never be able to mimic the driving experience that a manual gives you. simple really. As I said before, drive both and buy what floats your "own boat"

MANUAL!! I have one of each and the manual is much more of a drivers car. Yes the auto can be driven in manual mode but it is far from a real manual. If your after an interesting drive go the manual. If your after speed and a nice peak hour traffic box go the auto. best bet is drive both and see what you thinkk.

did the black button actually break??? if so you need a new cable only. But if the button came out and is still in one piece, well it most likely means that your fuse box where the button sits has broken and you will need to replace the whole unit!! I just got mine replaced on monday.

Hi Guys, A friend of mine has bought an fg xr8.... he knows that I like modding and playing with cars and has asked me to help him out with mods etc..... unfortunately I am not that savvy and only know about the T and modding it.He has a budget of around $5-6K. What are the best mods to do with this money??. He has been in touch with x-force and they are releasing an exhaust for it????? IDEAS PLEASE GUYS!!!!!!!

Am looking for a bobcat to move a fair bit of land from my yard. As well as to dig post holes,dig a trench for new drainage and to remove concrete that I absolutely hate. Also need to reposition some rocks on an existing retraining wall. Thought I would ask on the forum first before I start going through the local paper. anyone out there in the business?

I was reading an o/s newspaper a couple of months ago...and what do you know, it had a picture of gaga flashing her bits at at a recent concert.... and yes I said HER bits.....she maybe a dog but the photo showed no extruding bits. info for anyone who actually cares

the next door neighbour just bought an fg ute... has 3000km on it now... he describes a sound of a light rattle that seems to be coming from under the cabin... although when he takes off he describes the sound as coming from the back?? now when my flex plate went it sounded very similar and I actually thought the sound was coming from the rear... that is until it got really bad and I tought the engine went. also the thought of a baffle has come up. ford have no ideas and just send him on his way saying its fixed....... and each time the sound still turns up. anyone have any ideas as to where such a rattle could be coming from? any oher fg drivers have a rattel issue? cheers

my doctor told me to use to four seasons, I find I get better peformance without them.... but hey, who am I to argue with an expert honestly, ford use who they are told to use... as do the people who work there (including your brother). go and ask him what ford recommends for the T56.... and than come and tell all the guys on this forum... I can guarantee you that he will tell you the ford recommendation and I can aslo guarantee you that, that is something that most of us would not even contemplate sticking in our T56's. moral of the story, there is no 1 right formula

ford know fark all... My zf is flaring (only when cold and has only just now started doing it)... and still has the original oil in it!! others that have had this issue, have had better results with tranzmax.... which is what I will be trying next. warren, most people that have high powered cars are running tranzmax fluids in the box, with better results. and as most of us on this site modify our cars, most of us have no warranty as it is anyway.

Clarkson jokingly asked the famous German what his name was before he became famous as The Stig, but Schumacher answered: "You have to have some secrets." However, the true identity of The Stig was unmasked by the press earlier this year as 33-year-old Ben Collins, although the speculation was not confirmed by the BBC and it remains rumoured that the character is actually played by multiple drivers.
