    Dune Buggy

buy a sierra that's rusted to sh*te, cut all the panels off and you get a buggy for a few hundred bucks
  4. good choice, my au2 xr8 still rates as one of my favourite cars. Sex on wheels and they had a feel through the bends the barras can never match
  5. at least you got a real car now :)

  6. Id agree about the pzero neros I had em in an 18 on my old auxr8, very predictable and easy to drive on the edge, my only complaint was I felt the sidewalls lacked strength they felt a little sloppy. No idea about the toyos but they get a good wrap
  7. they just dont remember things as well as they used to
  8. mmmmmmmmmmmm hookers and coke that's my sought of insomnia sign me up
  9. Looks like a jeep 6 in that pic, might have to tr and make a pringle snorkel when I get home
  10. Saw a brief mention in a recent street machine about the xr6t Northmead auto centre are building, Apparently they are looking to crack the 1500hp mark building it all in house. Billet crank, rods you name it will have the works. These guys have built some momster motors in the past, does anyone have any more info on the beast or lives near by and can sneak in and take a pic.
  11. Im yet to see the cops beat anyone to an accident on the F3 in my daily travels, Maybe its because the towies go straight there and dont stop at maccas on the way
  12. $800 for brakes is what ford quoted me, I found it very difficult to just say no thanks ill order and fit them myself without telling them to get farked. anyone know what a rear wheel bearing is worth in a bf? Gotta do that next ford said there was nothing wrong two mates that are mechanics said its collapsed so im gonna go for warranty but am guessing im gonna have to do it myself.
  13. insurance isnt going to knock you back on a claim if you have one fitted, unless the bonnet decapitates someone or injures them through poor design then they may come after you for the medical costs but in a normal accident you would be fine.
  14. In all my years I have never seen a cop take a confiscated open beer back to the patrol car and sit behind the drivers seat with it The extra froth being evidence of that was the funniest thing I have ever read.
  15. The detective who came and visited me after an armed robbery was nice, and the one who booked me at gosford once who played with my dogs while we chatted was pretty cool as well so I correct myself and say two. I dunno, the police keep crying that they are underpaid and go on strike over it so I assume so But as I said if I was on that sort of a salary id probably be a little grumpy everyday when I go to work as well. I guess its like anything you sometimes need to find a justification to do your job and keep going and if someone finds that booking people for glancing at a mobile whilst at a complete stop then more power to em I guess.
  16. oh my god someone did do it and it worked "Today he appealed the conviction armed with phone records showing he did not make or receive any calls until at least eight minutes after the alleged offence. "They had no explanation, no rational explanation," his lawyer Alexander Street SC told Downing Centre District Court. "It really wasn't a case that should have proceeded." http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nati...r-1225704584713 so people if you didnt make a call appeal it a precedent has been set and you will get off if you werent using the phone to make a call and have the records to back it up. IB has been telling us all we should just man up and accept that glancing at a mobile whilst stopped is going to kill us and we cant fight it but he is wrong... The only suckers are the ones who accept that crap as fact.
  17. Im aware not all cops are the same I think ive met one who was personable and reasonable
  18. Its called a joke champ people need to lighten up, we cant voice an opinion on police on this forum but its acceptable for them to refer to us as you lot and then they wonder were the us and them mentality came from, but on reflection if I had to do that job for that little money I would probably be an unreasonable arsehole as well.
  19. have you missed the bit were he was stopped and not driving and not actually using the mobile to make a call??? Cops are tops, its not there fault they cant think about things with reason and logic. Its funny though my job entails studying real life accident data from all over the world not just the data from NSW police/RTA that is always skewed towards revenue raising and I see very little evidence that mobile phones being used at traffic lights causes accidents. GPS units whilst driving on the other hand I see alot more of them come across my desk, and what do I see the most ignoring the obvious police data of speeding being the cause is poor roads, poor driver training and general lack of concentration. Misguided morality????? Sounds like a typical response from someone who doesnt want to deal with the real problems faced by society, the fact someone can beat someone to within an inch of there lives gets away with a smaller penalty then someone who looks down at a phone whilst stopped at lights suggests your morality, reason, and common sense may be the thing that needs looking at.
  20. Tab you really need to wake up to yourself, all those people you endangered whilst at a complete stop is just irresponsible. IB is right we are all irresponsible scum and need to be punished like the delinquents we truly are
  21. Awesome we are looking to get a GSD as well, Currently have a black lab and a bernese mountain dog and 3 cats so need to even up the numbers.
  22. Yes it annoys the hell out of me police not enforcing the keep left rule, I assume it doesnt help them meet there targets and they wouldnt want to do anything that would actually reduce stress, speeding and accidents on the road. Every day that goes by I get a little more disenheartened at the system :( oh and who is you lot? Qlders or everyone???
  23. I just installed my cobalts as well, Mine doesnt light up was a bit dissapointed but it would probably make it hard to see the leds if it did. Mine seems to work ok, they will bounce at crusing speeds they are meant to as the pcm constantly adjusts mixtures etc trying to get the car to run efficiently. As soon as its under load at wot it seems very accurate and reflects how the afrs looked on the dyno more or less so im happy with mine. All I wanna know is that its green when I boot it so my motor doesnt lean out and im happy so it does the job I need it for. My sensor wire connected to the grey wire on the 02 sensor in a bf2 xr6t auto, I tried the black first as directed by most posts I found when I searched but had no luck, found one person suggesting the grey and it worked straight up. I didnt use a multimeter as I read a warning if you used the incorrect one it would destroy your sensor I know nothing about electronics so I dont know how true it is but didnt want to risk it.
  24. Have an xr6 meet up drinks night every 2nd month, open up the carpark for burnouts and a show n shine and im sure you will get a few people show up.
  25. no burdon of proof for issuing the ticket this only becomes an issue in a court matter. And that sums up why the system is flawed and goes against the notion of natural justice and leaves the system open to abuse
