  1. I dont understand why they ask you what you do for a living, its not like if I was a drug dealer I would tell them.
  2. theres no such thing as an 80 series ute.
  3. stripper?

  5. Exetel have always worked out pretty good for me price wise and have been with them pretty much since they kicked off. Check out whirlpool forums to see what providers most people have gripes with TPG seems to get a hammering almost as bad as telstra and optus.
  6. Gotta love the au, ditch the rear spoiler and clear tail lights though Have the tyres ripped the sh*t out of the lip on the front guards yet?

  9. Yeah that's correct about racv and all the ima underwritten brands it just needs to be registerable, be careful though there is still alot of confusion around the new definitions at this stage.
  10. I think the half throttle thing is that you can ride that torque wave out longer so you feel it building a bit more smoothly then when you just boot it maybe, but to me it definitly feels faster flat to the floor nah farked if I know what you are talking about full throttle all the way
  11. yeah there is heaps of feral dogs up that way these days, heres one that made the mistake of going on my mates property click if you want to see a dead dog Personally im to much of a pussy to go hunting but if your gonna do it at least by killing these farkers your doing a community service I wouldnt want that bastard any were near my house that's for sure

  13. bp ultimate, optimax, and mobil whatever it is called, dont notice much difference in power but I tend to get the best economy from the utimate and the worst from the mobil
  14. Hey guys, What is the life expectancy on coilovers, ive been considering them but do around 60thou a year min so wouldnt want to fork out and then replace them again in 12-18 months time.
  15. If they offer a discount for it and it doesnt work it costs them money so they have no financial gain by lying about it, in fact they would loose by lying its pretty simple. If you could explain how an insurance company would gain by reducing income for something that doesnt work id consider that mind boggling
  16. I reckon you should crank up the boost on your current motor till it self destructs then chuck in a new one I reckon a grand from a reputable mechanic isnt to bad a price but you could probably do it yourelf with a few mates and a crane for a lot cheaper just mark all your wires and make sure all the connections are there on the new motor ready to go and you should be right.
  17. yeah dee why kebabs are the sh*t, used to love heading down for a midnight munch when I lived there
  18. optimism bias seems to only come up as arguament against driver education, alot of research by parties who will only benefit from a reduced accident rate such as insurers and busineses with large fleets disagree with that scenario. I know who id believe and that's the ones without a financial interest in keeping fines as the be all and end all to driver education. And I feel using the advancements in driver aids as an arguament for this is flawed as yes it increases peoples notions of safety and discourages them from learning to use these technologies in a safe learning environment so cant be compared to direct driver training as a road safety measure. For example fining someone for speeding may educate someone not to speed but it has no safety improvement as they can still cause an accident at the speed limit that may have been prevented through effective driver training.
  19. Nothing we can say can change what has happened, I hope everyone gets behind the cruise and donates to help you and your family through what is a terrible time. try and be positive and as said remember the good times and celebrate her life.
  20. Hey mate they are underwritten by one of the largest insurance groups in the world and no doubt offer some very competitive premiums and target markets based on price points form the traditional insurers they know they can undercut. At this stage for mine its to early to determine the claims experience as ive heard good and bad about every insurer but you need to consider whats right for you and what you need from your insurance ie hire cars, choice of repairer, face to face, internet or phone and make your decision from there for some its price some its service and they usually dont go hand in hand. Good luck with whatever you decide but I suggest grab a pds from those you are considering and compare to make sure you get what you want from your cover in the event you do need to claim.
  21. Theres usually a reason if theres a big jump like that eg - car gets older - driver gets older or into a different risk group - Alot of idiots crash or steal that model car in the previous 12 months - at fault claims - not at fault claims - were you live - fuel costs - labour costs /cpi changes - transport costs - availability of accident repair parts + about a million other factors that can influence it so did you renew with them or shop around?
  22. Torque steer????
  23. God that fergie has to be one of the worst singers of all time
  24. Personally I like to keep the good drives to myself, As soon as a good route gets published that's the end of it as every idiot goes for a thrash and then the cops start patrolling it and its all over. Something I learnt quickly in four wheel driving when you find a god spot keep it to yourself and mates or it wont be there for long.
  25. Your not alone mate, every time I go for a run through the twisties I consider getting an au again
