  1. I'm sure that if she was hot, she could round up 20 guys to lift that SUV out of it's mess.
  2. Man's pen*s cut free with grinder
  3. Really sus but you can't prove there was nothing wrong with his car at the time of the incident. Need proof beyond reasonable doubt, in this case, a confession. I don't think police can be bothered, seeing as no one was hurt.
  4. My money is on N/A for the base models and S/C for the high end models. The complexity of turbocharging a V8 is going to add a lot more to cost. For a middle market car, this extra cost just isn't justified, not even for a little more fuel economy. There's reason why turbo V8s are so rare.
  5. Yeah, I'd say the Getz if you want a reliable dirt cheap car. At Pickles auctions at the end of '08, I saw 1-2 year old ones going for 7-8K. Every now and then you also get good ex-fleet Corollas for under 15K.
  6. Rootster, quit yo b*tching and name the car you wanna get. There's only so many affordable fast cars you can choose from.
  7. Rooster, let's follow your logic. *Any guy who doesn't drive a V8 is gay. *With the emissions restrictions, less V8s will be available. Guys forced to drive 4 or 6 cylinder cars will become gay. *Only V8 drivers will become fathers. *Most V8 drivers are Bogans. You can see where this is heading ...
  8. F*ck the anti-speeding campaigne, what we really need is better roads and better driver training (like they do in the States).
  9. Lucky indeed, and I think that number plate on the front of the nose saved your car. I once nudged a brick wall and all I noticed was a tiny dent on my number plate.
  10. I'll try my luck with the lotto :D But even so, I wouldn't want a million dollar lemon (this Veyron has no warranty). That's so much worse than your standard lemon.
  11. Might be easier to apply for an exemption. Fill in the exemption form and get your boss to provide a written statement that the vehicle is necessary for work. I know a P-plater who got to drive a V8 Mercedes for "work purposes", claimed that this car was necessary for his finance job and got his boss to back that up. I'd say you've got an even better chance with a turbo ute.
  12. Human Trebuchet is cool. If they placed the landing net over water for added safety, I'd try it.
  13. F-wolf, you've made a good point about our taxes. I'm tempted to move to America, I'll definitely miss the XR6 turbo, but I'm sure I can buy myself a 335i for the same money.
  14. That 4 banger was a Prius. A BMW M3 out-eco'ed a Prius around a track. Germans love their fast cars but have to comply with strict emission standards. This is why Beemers are both efficient and fun. If only BMWs in Australia didn't have an insane price mark up.
  15. Let's face it, a car of a certain size should have a minimum engine displacement. If the displacement is too small, the engine uses more fuel. If Ireland, they tax cars based on displacement, and you end up with lots of ultra low performance gas guzzlers.
  16. I'd say most dealers know less about cars and science than a true car enthusiast. Some enthusiasts have a degree, many car dealers BS'ed their way through high school. Last dealer I visited didn't know what downshift rev matching was.
  17. Now that's gonna be one hell of a beast. Don't forget to show us a quarter mile video once the project's done
  18. Hope they crank up the XR6T to 280 kw while they're at it.
  19. Speaking of corruption. Most cops don't report corrupt colleagues. No one likes a rat, and who knows which superior officer happens to be corrupt. There'll always be corruption in the police force, not too much you can do about it. Think about it this way - a grunt officer earns $1000 a week and he has a mortgage to pay and 3 kids to feed. How tempting is it to let off a drug dealer for 1K or notify a drug lord of a raid 6 hours in advance for 10K ? I think this senior officer got sacked because he ticked off someone superior (may or may not be corruption related).
  20. Red light speedos ... that's gonna make running amber lights tricky. I can foresee these cams causing strong braking and rear-end collisions.

    Fg Sales Prices

I've read that the Ford staff discount gets a manual XR6T for $35000 + on road costs (this is rock bottom). So 40K driveaway for an auto is quite good.
  22. This will cost Australian jobs, as the CO2 emitting operations will just move overseas. Enough of this green bullsh1t, how about spending more time on infrastructure improvements ? In order to get more support, Labour is sucking up to the Greens.

    Vitamin Tablets

I only take vit tablets only if I've been eating junk food all week. Take tablets too often and your body loses its ability to absorb certain nutrients and you develop a tablet dependency. You're right our06T- no replacement for healthy eating. Those people who live to 100 don't take tablets. Healthy food, exercise, low stress and not over eating does the trick.
  24. Paying out Expensive Daewoo drivers is all good fun, but I can't help wondering if Ford was going to be #32 on that list but the writers just couldn't be arsed.
  25. If Ford supercharges the new V8, Expensive Daewoo is no longer going to have the faster V8s.
