Thanks for that info SDP, not sure if I would want to trust an aftermarket set up for child restraint though but probably just paranoia. As much as I like the D40, more interested in the D22.

Getting a DPChip would help with power and economy on these too. Didn't know about the child restraints, is the Navara affected?

Interesting, is it the 7 speed auto? The manual usually is the one that struggles, for some reason the auto makes them get up and go a lot better. Is it the 2.5L 4cyl or the 3L V6 Diesel? Mates got a D22 with the 3L 4cyl Turbo Diesel manual, has reasonable power once the turbo kicks in and gets roughly 800km to a tank around town. Pretty good and reliable bus.

Yeah the new Ranger is awesome but the older one doesn't stack up to the Nissan or Toyota, and everything bar the Navara in dual cabs have got a sh*t towing capacity.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking of SDP, older D22 with the 3L diesel, strong, economical and can tow 3 tonne, sh*ts on a hilux and this is coming from a Lux fanboi.
