  1. Hi, The clip that holds the lid on my cup-holder has broken (cheap, nasty things), but I am told by Ford that I can't by this clip separately.. Have to buy the complete cup holder at a cost of $97. Does anybody know whether I can get the clip from anywhere.. The clip does slide out and is manufactured separately, so surely it can be bought separately??
  2. I'm in. And maybe we could make a commercial and highlight the feature of the car.. "This is a perfomance car you know... You can tell by the clunk in the diff..."
  3. I have clutch shudder, but only on take-off. Pointed it out to the dealer on the 15k service. Reply was "Yes, there is a bit of a shudder, and more noticeable in reverse, but at this stage, it is not worth worrying about"... :cussing: Funny thing is, I pointed out the mud coloured clutch fluid too, and they drained and replaced as much as they could at the service. The clutch shudder disappeared for a while, but the fluid is back to a mud colour, and the shudder is back !!! Hi ho, hi ho, it's back to Ford service we go !!!
  4. Funny, mines more steady than bcr01's.. !!!! It runs 4, 4.5, 7, 4, 6, 4, 5, 7.5, and today, ambient temp was cold, and I saw the boost guage go to 9 !!!!! Boy, it felt good !!! Think I might take it for a dyno test to see what's going on, but its been doing this since new..
  5. Thanks Jusind. We'll see what the dealer says about this.. (although I suspect I will get repy number 83 form their manual.." we had a look, but could find no fault codes, and nothing wrong".) I'll let you know after the visit.
  6. Thanks, Zaph. I have made no modifications whatsoever. The only thing I have done is install a boost guage today. And more so to confirm what I have been feeling. Took it to Ford at the 4000 km service. They gave me the standard answer - "no error codes show up, and it is running perfectly". As I had no other proof except for what I was feeling, the boost guage was bought and installed. It's booked in for Tuesday, but I want to explain and point them to possible areas to look at.
  7. No, no.. Thanks for your response. I appreciate that you did, and that thing about the 'spring in the turbo sounds interesting. Any info on that?
  8. Oil ?? I can understand if there is something in the turbo, but mine is not sluggish after 10,000km... It was like this from new. I've now done 15,000 kms, had the oil changed at 4000 kms. But why does it sometimes go like a rocket, even now...?? It's not a gradual decline in performance.. Just an erratic boost randomly ??
  9. Ok.. Installed the boost guage organised from Guageworks by Phantomxr6 (Thanks Phantom ). Took it out for a drive, and on the first run, car went well, with the guage hitting about 7 on the dial. But.... EVERY other time I hit the go pedal, no matter how much I tried, the car felt sluggish, and the dial would not go over 5, and generally read between 4 and 5. Parked the car for about an hour. Took it out again, and the first run, the car felt GREAT.. Floored it and the guage went up OVER 8 !!! In first, second, and briefly third gear (Anchors were slammed at this point... Looked up and a Hyundai was VERY RAPIDLY reversing into me !!!--- Damned guage !!). The guage confirms what I have been (frustratingly) feeling for a long time now. Sometimes the car goes great, but most time, very ordinary. Does anyone have ay ideas on what the problem might be ???

  11. Mine has exactly the same noise.. Have done 15000km, and the noise started appearing about 3 weeks ago. Due in for a service, so I'll let you know what I have found out.
  12. Spoke to Luke today, he should be finished on friday,I should get them early next week,then we will see how good express post is. Great job, phantomxr6. Many thanks for organising this. Can't wait to get it and install it.
  13. Just had a look at mine, and yep, looks like water from the Yarra.. Does anyone know what the problem is. It seems that draining the fluid is not the answer. Either that, or I keep going back to the dealer every 2000km.....
