Yep quite common, they replaced the ambient temperature sensor (which is in the passenger side external mirror) twice in mine. Mine was out 5-6 degrees I think. Would there perhaps be some moisture in there however? I know that it used to read MUCH lower for example after I'd washed the car but otherwise I'd be heading to the dealer

There are quicker and cheaper Ferraris out there, and whilst money isn't typically a priority for a Fazza buyer, the 'others' aren't exactly cheap. That thing is YOO-GLY. If I woke up next to it and it was resting on my arm, I would chew my arm off so as not to wake it up.

I know I know... it's hard to get into a lot of new music (although I'm sure they're not actually new per se) when you're the only person in a house of 5 people (3 under the age of 14) that listens to this sorta music. That's why I love this thread so much! TBH I have A Sense of Purpose on in the car and lots of parts in lots of songs sound a touch like Wayne. In fact I even went so far as to look around the interwebs to see if he'd done any guest vox. Mine was June 08 build and the sensor was out, had it replaced. I would recommend running the AC at least once a week

we're not l33t enough tab! All this time us G-Spec owners thought we were better than the 'common' turbo owners we were clearly mistaken. If we cut out all the posturing boys the question is an inherently subjective one. My 2c is that I haven't noticed how bad it is ergo it really can't be that bad (nor that good by the same token). FWIW I'm a hairy bloke and so have plenty of insulation too!

Uhh the FG has manual controls too... except they are still thermostatically governed, hence 'semi auto' Dunno about the Honda but surely if it has auto then likewise any manual override you use simply goes to semi auto? But we're getting off track I suspect, unless someone changed the topic to " How's the AC on a hot day compared to my girlfriend's Accord Euro that has manual controls"

It's a cross between rocket science and brain surgery - I like to mix my metaphors Efficiency does not always mean fuel economy; consider the stress on the part itself of always being on If having something on 22 means it isn't cold enough, put it on 20! Just because the number is 20, who cares... it is about the level of comfort I now have a VW Jetta and setting it to 22 makes it cool, whereas in the Falcon 22 seemed warmer... at the end of the day the number is irrelevent, it is how you feel. I'd be shocked if you set it to LOW and it still wasn't cold enough on anything but a 45 degree day

To be honest it sounds like you guys are pretty hard taskmasters! Maybe it isn't the best feature of the car but to be so scathing in your complaints??!! If you're hot, point the vents on you, then you'll feel cooler. We're not talking rocket surgery here guys. And the idea of wanting it to be permanently on - doesn't sound very efficient. Most modern technology aims to be efficient which means the very OPPOSITE of being permanently on I would have thought. Perhaps in WA it might be a different story as no doubt it is hotter in the mornings but for us (south-) Eastern seaboard folk, build a bridge I say. Surely the fact that any car costing more than $15k these days has automatic climate control suggests that manual control is a dinosaur

I can honestly say in 2 years I have had no cause for complaint other than the stupid ambient temp gauge. Air con is fine. And my car is black!
