For most people that $6.20 is an after tax amount given they can't claim tax deductions, and so to pay for it out of after-tax dollars you'd need to earn say $9-$10. Again doesn't sound like much but over the course of a year it's $500... now imagine you had an extra $500 in your pocket when it is say... time to buy new tyres for example!

The time factor is interesting... I certainly wouldn't want to take LONGER put it that way! I shave daily and am a suit so I can't afford to have 5 o clock shadow as I get to work. I also happened to be at my local Good Guys (where I've funded the owner's school tuition fees for the next 10 years) and there seem to be some cheap, some expensive obviously... and some have satisfaction guarantees etc...

For 15 or so years, I've shaved using a razor. Gillette Mach 3 I think, with it's patented 21 blade system. Lately, I've been considering making the switch to an electric. My one experience with an electric shaver was not a good one. Admittedly it was probably not a very new, or good one (it was left behind my my then-girlfriend's ex-boyfriend so I figured what the heck I'll give it a go), but it left me a bit red and didn't cut particularly close. Obviously there is much that will really just come down to personal preference, but I'd love to hear what you guys think are the relative pros and cons of each. Some thoughts/questions I have: - Is it THAT much quicker to shave with an electric shaver over using a razor? - Do the modern electrics catch the hair rather than dropping it (so I could potentially shave in morning traffic a la Mr Bean) - Is the old Remington line "as close as a blade or your money back" actually true? If anyone has made the jump, in either direction for that matter, I'd love to hear why they did it

I'm the first to agree with "they're sportsmen, not role models" but put yourself in the AFL's shoes... You have a product that is worth *Dr Evil* ONE BILLION DOLLARS. That's how much they'll be getting when the TV rights come up for renewal soon. And again nothing personal against Fev, and I'm not suggesting anything he's done is stuff that Joe Average hasn't done before (getting smashed, public urination, bar fights etc)... but if you have a product worth that much moolah, do you really want someone tarnishing it? He's had plenty of chances, Brisbane knew what they were getting into... yada yada yada...let's not forget at the end of the day, he'll be getting paid this year to do nothing, so it isn't like he's being thrown in the gutter.

I agree re the "tatts for the sake of getting them" that are just a picture on your skin. Although I should qualify that by saying sometimes it is not necessarily the picture/image itself, but the fact that it is a reminder of the time in your life when you got it done. I have two tigers - why? Because I really just love tigers. You know, like how little girls like horses?! A bit like that, only not as ghey. Anyway the first one was when I was 18 and was hanging out to get my first tatt of course. It's on my left bicep (or at least, where my bicep WOULD be if I wasn't Mr Puny-verse!). Runs basically from the elbow to the shoulder. Second one is on my back, across my shoulder blades basically running the width of my back. Why a tiger? Because I love them. BUT the kicker is I got it done on my honeymoon, so it isn't the image itself but the fact that it is a permanent reminder of my honeymoon. Although if you want to draw a long bow, we did go to Dreamworld and spent the $500 to spend 15 minutes in with a tiger!

If your car has rattles and squeaks, do you really need to compare it to another car that DOESN'T to know it is poorly built? If it goes 0-100 in 5 flat, do you need to drive something else to know if it is powerful?

Unless you're going to be driving that other car regularly, comparing it to an FG is irrelevant. If the FG A/C works to your standards, then it is good. Doesn't matter if another car works better - you won't be driving that other car. Geddit?
