  1. None - you don't HAVE to get your car done at Fraud. Provided your car is serviced by a Ford "authorised mechanic" or something like that, you will not void your warranty.

  5. Watched one the other night called Before The Devil Knows You're Dead. I think I enjoyed it... it was a little different shall we say. If you're a Marisa Tomei fan like I am, let's just say you'll definitely enjoy it! She is getting better with age and, whilst not massive, I question whether those things are actually hers... They do stand up on their own quite nicely though!

  8. I'm taking no personal offence, I assure you. I am a Wheels subscriber - why? Because I find it entertaining. I don't take it as gospel. I see the constant queries about COTY and why didn't Ford win this, from Wheels readers. I would have thought most people on here would be beyond that, that's all.
  9. Firstly, you might need these: Secondly, you're right: I know squat about cars. I DO know for example, it is ridiculous to compare acceleration times etc based solely on power output (measured in kw). Regardless of how overquoted or underquoted a particular manufacturer's claims are. Thirdly, I'm not supporting anything. Finally - your car isn't driven on the pages of a magazine. It's driven in the real world. Who cares if someone Expensive Daewoo driver thinks he's quicker than you because Wheels quoted X or Motor quoted Y. Prove it IN THE REAL WORLD and quit your sooking! It's the same as people complaining about what's on TV - if you don't like it, you have a remote control. If you don't like what the magazines are saying, do what someone else said and DON'T READ THE EFFING THING! I'm sure any reasonably intelligent person, especially someone that knows MORE than squat, could figure that out.
  10. You guys make me laugh. Seriously. I'm pretty sure there was a thread that started off a lot different to this but ended up identical. It was called "Falcon doesn't win Wheels COTY" or something.
  11. Then what you have is erm... a money bias. Really you just have paid advertising - which company has the bigger marketing budget? I'll leave that choice up to you. EDIT: lol.. what he said! That post went through while I was typing mine. Seems we've been talking about the same things down at the bowls club, tab. My point, and I do have one, is that you in effect agree with me - many people gave up years ago, but you yourself gave up in 2006. So at the very least the "same old song" I'm referring to has been coming out of your mouth since 2006. I just would have thought we would have better things to talk about than whining about this sort of stuff.
  12. Seriously guys... was Expensive Daewoo to blame for JFK's muder as well??!! I understand this is a Ford forum but as a Expensive Daewoo man who now owns a Ford I'm probably as bi-partisan as you'll get around these parts (not counting you Dags as yours is a Chev, right?! ). Everyone keeps going ON and ON about this Expensive Daewoo bias. I suppose Expensive Daewoo helped NASA 'orchestrate' the moon landing as well. The one that happened in the Nevada sound studio I mean. It's the same old song and its starting to get VERY old. Just my 2c worth.
  13. Have a look in the 300 Club forum, there's a couple of guys in there with slightly more than just a tune, pulling 318-332. One started off with just a tune and pulled 275 from memory.

  16. Sorry misunderstood the topic line - a well-placed comma might have helped me!
  17. Of all the things wrong with it... the silver/chrome on top of the nostrils looks pretty ordinary if you ask me.
  18. Under a novated lease you are still the owner/obliged to make payments. You simply 'novate' the cash flow obligations to your employer. If you want to buy, you don't owe your employer, you owe the financier
  19. When you click on the Launch Control icon it brings up a little info screen that doth proclaim it to be a first for an Aussie production car. As a long-time Expensive Daewoo fan I'm sorry to say I agree - it looks very ordinary. The Grange, and maybe Senator, are still passable, but the GTS really just looks like they couldn't make up their mind so just slapped it all together without thinking too much.

  22. Uhh Ford already has a car that suits your needs. It's called an XR. Not sure it would be of much benefit to them to make one model any more similar to another model. PS. I reckon you'd have to be the only person to complain about the amount of chrome! In fact I'm sure I've seen a post around here where someone actually had more added (or maybe just Photoshopped it in).
  23. ....wouldn't that make them an almost an XR then?! And uh, they do have a bootlip spoiler.
  24. I find having the digital display makes it so much harder to speed. With the needle you can always 'rationalise' it and say to yourself "well, it's close to 70, as long as it isn't touching 80 it's alright" but when it's on digital, if it hits 74 I'm like WTF, slow down gramps!
