  1. Check this out guys Speedtest.net - World Results We rank 41st in worldwide download speed. Yep, 41st. Behind such advanced countries as Andorra and erm... Aland Islands, wherever that is.
  2. Will be very interesting actually... When I first got mine, almost 12 months ago now, RedBook had them at a resale rating of 47. About 4 months ago I noted that went up to 57... Mind you is that 57% of 'RRP' or 57% of what people are paying for them.

  4. Well I but the bullet and ordered from Tire Rack - just got the receipt this morning after a visit to ANZ's Bureau de Change yesterday. 4 x Goodyear Asymmetric in the 245/35/19, including the cost to make the International Wire Transfer (no, no PayPal sadly) plus getting bent over on the exchange rate (not so bad, the rate they give you is about 1.5% worse than the actual rate)... a tick over $1400AUD shipped. Note that is SHIPPED, not LANDED. Customs duty would be around $70 I think, GST is neglible as I claim it back. Deliver is 3-5 business days via FedEx Economy apparently. Will keep you all posted.
  5. 4.97??!! Wow! Wheels only managed 5.1/13.3 I think, or were they manufacturer's claims, can't quite recall
  6. Surely we could just turn our hearing aids down a little...
  7. Uh yeah... I'm sure it's (street) legal too!
  8. No can't be optioned, though some have said they managed to somehow get their dealer to fit one mind you... it isn't an 'official' option. Suspect the theory is that an LSD wouldn't necessarily fit with the 'prestige' feel of the car
  9. That is gold. Just be thankful your headrests weren't on backwards...
  10. Mine is the 40gb version... although now that I think about it it did brick about 12 months ago (while still under warranty). Coincidentally or otherwise it was when I first started playing Assassin's Creed and had to download an update for that game, v 1.10 or something. BR drive stopped working after that.

  12. Go Team!!! Pretty sure there is no auto up.. yes it probably would be nice now that you mention it but oh well, if that's our biggest complaint then we should be pretty happy
  13. I've discovered that the 'estimate' of customs duty, which I found from another forum, of about 15%, INCLUDES GST. Which really doesn't bother me, as my car is salary packaged so I claim the GST back anyway Thus the only real cost is 5% customs duty... so I will just do it in the one single lot.
  14. Sorry I didn't edit - I couldn't see the edit button on my post. Or maybe I'm just retarded. As it turns out, it costs more to ship 2 tyres than 4! $208 for all 4, vs 2 x $218 to do 2 lots of 2! How the hell does that work??!!
  15. deliver
  16. I think the ones on there at the moment are 93W, as are all the ones I've been looking at from what I recall so shouldn't be a problem. Just got my shipping quote - $208.89USD. I've asked what it would cost to send in 2 lots so that each is under the value of $1000... will see what they say.
  17. Yeah mine is fine too, though I've heard there's been a few issues over at another (A/V) forum I frequent. In terms of is it 'required' you can't connect to PSN without doing the update... given the strong promotion of online capabilities of the system I would suggest Fony has made the updates a 'required' process.
  18. As it turns out my wife used to work for a company who makes Bridges out of Stones, and her best friend works at a place owned by a guy named Bob who has a son called Rodney - that's why I was interested that nobody had commented on Adrenalins! If I can sort this importing bizzo out (and make sure they're shipped in 2 lots of 2 tyres, as some other research has suggested one can *cough* avoid customs duty and GST *cough* by having a package valued at less than $1,000... Tire Rack have Goodyear Asymmetric for $263, which is $25 off even their normal price (prices in USD). That's a full $75 cheaper a corner then they're doing the Michelins for.
  19. Yeah I was thinking of the Falkens... haven't heard too much about them yet, will do some digging. Waiting on the sales guy from TireRack to give me a shipping quote - he asked for shipping, billing address AND phone number which I wasn't thrilled about just to get a quote but oh well. I don't necessarily HAVE to spend up to budget but in a 19" the Maxxis almost seem TOO cheap!
  20. Well here are some quotes I've got so far - sadly my contact doesn't stock Goodyear at all. Michelin PS2 - $790. OUCH!!! PZero - $650. Still well out of range. Yoko SDrive - $419. Getting there... Maxxis MAZ1 - $215. Well within range Importing is looking more attractive though... with the exchange rate and estimated shipping charge (I've emailed them and waiting for a quote on shipping) Michelins come in at about $430 a corner. Question is - are they TWICE as good as the Maxxis? Especially considering the extra effort as obviously I'd need to be home when they're delivered (it won't work getting them delivered to the office) and then separately arrange for fitment. Just noticed nobody has mentioned any Bridgestones...

  23. Check what's written on your purchase documentation; I believe there are two 'genuine' Ford options, one factory fit the other dealer fit. You sound like you have the latter so check your paperwork to see if it mentions what you've specifically asked for.
  24. This is me at work... can't even get 2+ at home so will check that one tonight and see what I get :(
