  1. There's plenty of threads (not specific G6ET) around that suggest, somewhat definitively I would say, that Fraud can detect whether the car has been flashed or not, and anecdotally they will generally (exercise their legal right to) dishonour warranty.
  2. The Black Bra (as told by a woman) I had lunch with 2 of my unmarried friends. One is engaged, one is a mistress, and I have been married for 20+ years. We were chatting about our relationships and decided to amaze our men by greeting them at the door wearing a black bra, stiletto heels and a mask over our eyes. We agreed to meet in a few days to exchange notes. Here's how it all went. My engaged friend: The other night when my boyfriend came over he found me with a black leather bodice, tall stilettos and a mask. He saw me and said, 'You are the woman of my dreams. I love you..' Then we made passionate love all nightlong. The mistress: Me too! The other night I met my lover at his office and I was wearing a raincoat, under it only the black bra, heels and mask over my eyes.. When I opened the raincoat he didn't say a word, but he started to tremble and we had wild sex all night. Then I had to share my story: When my husband came home I was wearing the black bra, black stockings, stilettos and a mask over my eyes. When he came in the door and saw me he said, "What's for dinner, Batman?"
  3. They've had them at Montague St ramp getting on to the Westgate (west-bound) for ages now - reckon it adds a minimum of 5 minutes to my journey. Doesn't sound like long but imagine all the extra pollution of having thousands of cars on the road, in stop-start traffic, for an extra 5 minutes! Of course, I don't give a rats about that - it is just effing frustrating. They are a dead set joke - I'm sure they'll tell us that they help to avoid crashes etc... why don't we just take the warning labels off things and let mother nature run its course?! If people can't merge onto a slow-moving (cos let's face it, they are only in action during peak hour when the traffic is doing closer to 40 than 100) without crashing then they don't deserve to have a licence.
  4. Them's the ones mate
  5. +1 I have them on my G-spec beast and love them... very quiet too, on smooth surfaces obviously. On the rough stuff you still know they're a low-profile 19 inch tyre, but even then it's a 'muted roar' at worst. You know, you don't want a loud tyre waking up snoozing grandchildren in the back

  9. They are good for only one thing: eating cake. I don't think I've ever actually seen them used in any other context. Surely they go in the junk drawer; you know, the one at the bottom where you chuck everything else

  14. Yes tank is def 68 but don't trust the needle! Do what I do and just go by the Fuel Used on the computer. You'll have to make sure you reset it at each fill but so be it. At zero range you will still have around 11 litres by my count. Most seem to dyno around 235 at the wheels; doing the maths puts it closer to 295 at the flywheel, correct me if I'm wrong guys.

  18. +1 (or rather, -1!) for Westpoint. Had an issue with them which really was for the most miniscule little thing but handled incredibly poorly, still dealing with said Service Manager as we speak on the matter. On a separate matter, they failed to make sure they pulled the seat-belt plug back through after fixing the fuel gauge issue which I didn't notice until I had a back seat full of kids. Sure it is again only a little thing but if it is indicative of attention to detail, and if God forbid something had happened before fixing it... My car is stock so I take it to my mechanic in Richmond. He assures me he knows what he's looking at (and who am I to know any different?!) and I've had a long relationship with him. If/when I start modding though I dare say I'll take it elsewhere but while it is stock I'm happy enough with him. He is convenient as I work in the city so it is easy enough to drop off in the morning and I don't miss a whole day of work having to wait in Werribee to drop off to Westpoint at 7:30am as I would basically lose 3 hours (in total at the start and end) of additional travel time/leaving early etc.

  20. wow what were the chances a thread entitled speeding fine was going to become a battle of keyboard warriors...

  22. It would be admitting they effed up by not having it as an option in the first place - chance of that happening...? Although I'm sure if it does some marketing guy will spin that "we've been listening to our customers and this is what they're asking for..."

  24. Dumbest. Thread. Ever. Didn't have to be that way but of course that's how these threads always end up
