The 5.0 Love flames got it shooting out two or three big flames every time I down shift into second in the higher rpm range

I'm running no cats (straight pipe) on E85 an barely get any smell at all. I agree, in SA 100cell cats will still get you in trouble, so I just bit the bullet and went straight pipe myself. Cars sounds amazing and gives off not much smell at all. Plus you get this

Lowering blocks are a pain and sacrifice handling. Get a reset leaf springs and coil overs for the front. I'd recommend Shockworks coil over system, as they have been designed for the FG cars. As for power and control, it depends what your goals are? When I was running the ute daily with a 460rwkw tune it handle fine with standard suspension. A little boaty in the hills but still nothing as bad as people claim. I've been in a ute where a mates just slammed it with kings and blocks.. and my god, it's terrible! couldn't stand how awful it handled. But then again, it's up to the individual!

Get it to a track, don't worry about dyno numbers please! my ute was making 450+rwkw till J@T tuned it this week, we r now making 410rwkw, and ended up with 0.77 lambda across the run on neat 85. The car feels more responsive and quicker than when it was making 450rwkw. Don't let numbers throw you off! J@T pulled a 11.8 pass with barely any mods and tune of 300kw

on average twice a month, driving no more than 500m to and from his house to ramp. Also, the turbo's dont like the added boost pressure it demands when towing heavy loads, and your standard tune will most likely display and engine warning light due to an unusual amount of flow past your O2 sensors, which makes the car think it's not running correctly

Correct, I'm sure it was my post where I mentioned my mates 2010 FG XR6T ZF gave up after reversing the Malibu wake setter into the shed. My 2012 SR5 hilux was still the best towing car

Mate of mine killed his ZF towing there 2300kg Malibu Wake setter. Was a 2010 FG XR6T, I've also been told the turbos dont like the added pressure/ resistance with towing. But I am in the same boat as u, I have a FPV GS super charged V8 ute with 450rwkw, and soon I might attempt to use it to tow my up and coming drift car. But still uncertain of it.
