Question About My Fg Turbo Ute Exhaust And Whatever Else I Think Of :)
Layton replied to Layton's topic in General Tech
But the warmer the engine is, the quieter the noise is. And it's not in the driveline, it's coming from the cat or maybe in front of it... So it's not unheard of and some of yours make the same noise? -
Question About My Fg Turbo Ute Exhaust And Whatever Else I Think Of :)
Layton replied to Layton's topic in General Tech
Yeah it only does it once after starting it cold. But if I hold it in 1st it still does it?? Hmmm -
So I start the ute in the morning, let it idle for 30 seconds or a minute and slowly cruise off to work. When it changes to second gear (6 speed auto) it makes a little thud, like it's in the cat. Then one morning I pop it into sports mode and hold 1st gear and it does the same thud click thing that sounds and kinda feels like it is in the cat. The warmer the ute is, the less noticeable the thud/click noise is. Just wondering what it could be??? Otherwise, I had the climate control fixed when it was a couple months old (Ford fixed it in the March 2010 models, mines a Feb '10 haha). Fitted the lower airbox off an XR8, it comes on boost a tiny bit earlier, sounds a tiny bit nicer, and goes a tiny bit better I know I haven't been on in forever, sorry if this is in the wrong section and already been asked. Cheers Layton

Yeah they've ordered me a new module. They said it was fixed with the March onwards Falcons... Mine is February lol

What is a HIM?

My ute has 3300ks on it now and everything is sweet, I love it. My only gripe or concern with it is when I have the climate control set on low (below 18). The drivers side blows cold air and the passenger side blows warm, nearly hot air. It does this even when set on 22 degrees. Is it trying to find the right temperature or is something else going on? And occasionally the screen comes up with ipod not compatible but I think that is an ipod issue. I'm sorry if I have posted this in the wrong forum. Cheers. Layton =)

I'm getting my ute fitted with the 2300kg heavy duty tow pack for an FG. Are they worth the $1600? Or is there a better option? Like Hayman Reese or something? Who has what and what can you say about what you have?

I'm glad they got good homes I have been told a few times you can tell how smart a dog is by the gap between its ears He looks like a good dog =) I'm now looking after some kittens.... I'll be in touch hahahahaha

Smicky, when you dealt with Alto Ford, who did you deal with? I don't want an ex demo, a salesman took me for a drive in one and was doing 6 grand the second we got out of the yard. I wasn't impressed that they did that to a new car with a cold engine And Mat... she wasn't hard to look at =)
-
lol alright. I guess I'll tell them instead of asking and expecting them to cut me a deal If I transfer rego from QLD to NSW on a new vehicle, I shouldn't need a blue slip or have it go over the pits??
-
Whut? I guess I could haggle with them for a better price But the chicky in Bris gave me a massive discount straight up, it blew me away. I still have the quote I have to buy the vehicle in NSW as it will be registered here and it is easier I think as I am buying it through my work Or can I buy it unregistered or with, is it called "interim" rego? Rhino, I think that is too much I want a auto xr6t ute with the luxury pack with 18's and the 2300kg tow pack. With fiddly stuff like scuff plates and front mud spats Should be 44G tops
-
I don't wanna haggle for a price, the Bris dealer gave me a awesome price straight up. I am in Tamworth(less) but will pretty much go anywhere for the best deal =)
-
I won't get what I want for my Falcon... so no lol
-
I would rather not say mate, I don't wanna sh*t can anyone I just wanna get a good price =)
-
Where did you buy your Falcon? Where should I buy mine from? I got a quote in Sydney for 49G Another quote in Bris for the same spec'd vehicle was 43G! Unfortunately, I have to get the vehicle in NSW I told one salesman what I wanted and he says yeah mate yeah, I know what you want. Couldn't get rid of me quick enough. I tell em a want a luxury pack with 18s, they fax me a quote for a tech pack with leather Where should I buy my Falcon from?

One more quick question A FPV grill badge. What dimensions should it be?
-
I definately felt a clunk when I drove the manual and I wasn't being rough with it.... I'll get the auto And I did ask for the spats but never thought about them bottoming out. I might give them a miss Cheers

I know this chicky who is a canine nutrition specialist. She trains guide dogs and stuff and she's hot. Always pay attention to what hot chicks say... Cheap dog foods such as Chum, Pedigree and Mate are mainly fillers, which mean, lots of corn and cereals to make the biscuit or can food bulkier and the only meat in them are by-products which include chicken head, feet, carcase, (pretty much all the body parts that would be thrown out and that a dog can barely digest) To put it simply when it comes to cheap dog food they sh*t ALOT, their sh*ts stink, more health problems can be encounted, they eat twice as much because they never feel full and words from the rep that was selling me Chum... "studies have proven Chum and food alike, shorten the dogs life but we are selling it for profit". The only products I would reccomend the pups get are a dry biscuit, I have listed a couple below... and fresh RAW meat mixed with it. Chicken mince have a nice amount of highly digestable fats in it; but tell them to mix up different meat types or they will have a fussy dog. Dont forget the size of their stomachs is only very small, don't over feed them. The food below have feeding guides on them... - Advance Puppy Rehydratable (you soak the biscuits in luke warm water and slowly wean them onto dry) Best option - Proplan Puppy, comes in Chicken and Rice or Lamb and Rice - Eagle Pack Puppy Medium breed You pay more but the dog eats less and is unbelievably healthier for it, I cannot stress this enough. Puppies need puppy foor for 12 months, then swith to adult. The puppies have to be wormed, I noticed in the video they had big round bellies which is a classic sign of roundworm and can kill them. Tell them to get an all wormer in tablet form, worm them at 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks of age, after 12 weeks of age worm them every 4 weeks until 6 months of age and then every 3 months after 6 months of age. Heart worm is monthly in tablet form, do NOT get the yearly injection ( it was taken off the market in America because it is killing dogs and it hasnt been banned here yet) I will leave it at that lol. Sorry to bore you! Fwd this onto them.
