  10. sorry mate but these guys wont have you saying common sense like testing on here they want you to go get a custom tune straight away."Dont risk it blah blah blah" a simple afr check isnt enough.if you want good advise im sorry but it seems as though this forum has had it!talk to a tune house, some pros etc...none of these guys have a tune house they are just keyboard warriors and dont respect anyone that has a small budget.find mick from pit lane or one of the boys from blue power or for the sake of it make some pms or emails directed to the guys with the tuning shops in the sponsors pages.if you waste your time as it seems I have on this forum trying to say that capa dont make c4 explosive that anyone can buy and install in their cars they will just tell you your full of sh*t and youve wrecked your car.I apologise for running a 10 flat on the 1/8th mile with a flash tune and a dump pipe and afrs that were great until 190kms at which stage they got richer (which any one of these guys will tell you is better than lien!)testing is beyond em mate dont waste your time giving them common sense, youll just get told to stay standard or spend big... what was the term straughsberry... $$$$$$$$! like I said, mine was running good but that's obviously never good enough! stick it in your ass you negative pricks some people have a budget and they need all the support they can get and if your in that boat, you have my support.
  11. Hmmm... Money? People cant always afford a custom tune since most the time you need to buy a Flash2 or 3, and since they are around $700 and a custom tune is around $700 also, some people will find that sort of coin hard to come by. also you can direct questions to capa on 0885823499 and they are always willing to help since they realise so many people sh*t on their product prior to conversing with them.
  12. pm me if you like, but I am not intersted in arguing.so keep the negatives to yourselves. enjoy your cars, these are great vehcles across the range.
  13. This may be an old topic but I just want to say for anyone who has a quick look at this page, it is not always a case of "Custom tune custom tune...if you dont the world will end!" plenty of people run the flash tuner, I ran mine without a custom tune for a long while, but this has got to stop. pinging noise - check your plugs. mine when I checked them(motorcraft ford factory plugs) were anywhere from 1.0mm to 1.6mm the factory or mechanics barely go into the depth of checking plug gaps because no one is supposed to be boosting these over factory levels etc etc while under warranty and you are not supposed to gap the iridium plugs. so if mechanics consistantly checked the plugs they would have bins full of the motorcraft plugs as afor mentioned my plugs had a variation of .6mm difference. now if you speak with a multitude of tuners you will find that some change the tune in a way that allows you to use a basic ngk plug that will save you dollars but if used untuned may cause issues, dont know personally, others have a wrx plug that is suited - again as far as I know - for the sti's that are running 17psi or similar, around about the bug eye they ran a high boost, a friends one is on 17psi stock.whatever the case, check your plugs, I still havent changed mine yet, mick at pitlane will be organising it for me with my final custom later this year. currently I am running the problem motorcraft ones I have previously mentioned gapped(and before the big hullabaloo yes as previously stated also I know DONT GAP THE PLUGS)but for a little bit of budget advise, mine were gapped 25000kms ago and am not seeing any troubles and quite a few drag cars from where I live are running upwards of 20psi and are still working fine on acurately gapped plugs. so step one if you are only running a flash and have a budget, gap your plugs, see how you go.im doing alright. as for the custom tune bit I ask of you to consider the japanese imports out there. pretty much none of them that are only marginally modified are running anything more than a generic tuner, and you dont see them complaining. the generic tuners are basically an offer of slight performance upgrade but safe in terms of fuel.I ask you to refer to my fuel readings that were takin from a wide band air fuel meter by innovate,my fueel was quite rich.which in my oppinion has to be better than the lein option, and they still run. if you have a flash tuner...go on and use it,the world wont come to an end.just check your plugs, extra boost will blow out the spark. fix the plugs however you want,I personally dont care because im not in "the click" of this site, but I just want you guys to know that there are cheaper options out there other than spending every cent you earn on your cars, budget performance can be achieved, just ask a variety of people. just a huge fan of these cars personally and I only recently spoke with someone who is selling a range of parts for his because he thinks he cant do it up on a budget.IT CAN BE DONE. My car runs low 9s on the 1/8th mile and I have spent little on the performance side.I am willing to speak to people about how mods have been done on my car and the gains I have, but dont reply to this with pages of slurring,I know the majority wont like it so save your effort.

    Top Speed.

I gather no one has to topped the A.P.S. effort...?
  15. TUR-BO6

    Top Speed.

Simply put, I enjoy reading motor vehicle write ups, flipping through specs etc... and its things like Top Gear that have got me thinking: What is the top speed of one of these falcons? I have a BA XR6T and I have found almost every spec on these forums... but top speed hasn't got a mention. Can anyone help an interested fan of these vehicles...?
  16. oh well pretty much no posts left for me then,so catch yas all round.

  20. oh...cant upload till tomorrow, it wont let me. the quality of the black may be down on the past few.I have been resizing and resizing and mucking around trying to make it the right size and then just found out that the 10mb quota for posts of mine is .03mb from maximum...sorry guys, will post up as soon as it lets me, probably in the morning.
  21. boot only/no graphic...
  22. hey daz, without going in to too much detail like brakes etc...I have come up with some options for each - big and small.let me know what you think,if you want further mods just let me know bud. otherwise, thanks for the chance mate and enjoy!
  23. meh, learnt how to do this stuff in year 11 and 12.this particular one I did in less than an hour.I even got rid of a couple flies and the tow bar hole...its a fun way to wind down and fuel the imagination. its probably a good tool for people who want to do stuff too, they can come on here for example and say can someone take a white xr6 and put black koya drifteks on it in 17's or 20 inch chromes or whatever...let your mind boggle...im sure there are a few like me that tinker with photo modding, if not since I do this and draw I can make a (not to puff up my ego) gallery for people to check out. so if paople want you can throw ideas up on here and we can see what we can do.
  24. ok guys, some of us like to dabble in some mods to cars we have or dont have but without the cash we like to see what it will look like when we come across the cash. so if your like myself and in spare time do a little photoshopping show us what ya got! ill start us off... this is my current project, started it today, will probably continue soon... MRS TUR-BO6 - in the words of x-zibit and pimp my ride... feast yo eyez on yo brand nu ride home grl! ...black topped, green pinstriping, airbrushed grafitti, number plate customed in to rear bar,xp falcon badge, modded number plate state... most likely soon to be de spoilered, quad m5 exhausted and a few other tricks...well see! keep em comin guys, we can have some fun with this!
