there is no room for the cai at all so I guess its upgrade cooler/pipe time.sorry couldnt work out how to posts pics , I uploaded to photobucket and copied url but wont take it ? fk knows story of my day

Well that didn't go as I planned , I had direct contact with plazmaman and they aid it was a direct fit to a stock car .... As I pulled it all out there is not enough room with sensor pipe . So I'm wondering how this a stock fit ? Obviously someone has had this happen before so what is needed next then ?

Hi peoples and merry christmas . Just wondering if anyone has any pics or tips installing a plazmaman cai ? Mines on its way ( picked it up near new for 250 ) not sure how easy or hard it will be as there is bugger all room . If no one posts I'll put up my dealings for any newbies ( like me ) if anyone wants a look ......

I wondered the same thing ..... I contacted plazmaman this past week and they said it was a direct fit with no mods to pipes .

Hi guys , just got a new ute yesterday just a few questions .... The diffs a bit winey ( 179k on the clock ) so I thought I might change the oil to see If it helps get rid of the noise a bit ? Thoughts ? And I noticed this morning that the traction control light didn't come on when I pressed it , I then thought I'd gas it and see if its working but seems not ? I'm getting it serviced in a couple of weeks so ill see anyway I guess . Any thoughts would be good . Cheers .

ive 130,000 on my june04 build ba xr6t and about 250klms ago it started shuddering under load at low revs , I had it at my mechanics for a service before chrissy and it didnt happen for him ( of course ! ) I checked and double checked hoses and little tips on here ( checking threads ) it ended up being the coil packs . since there've been done its been like a new car ! and when it got done they found a split on one of the hoses that was letting extra air in too , running heaps better now .

ok the 300 club will be the mark . one more question .... will getting a x3 flasher negate getting a dyno tune ? and if so does the reflashers have all the safety cut outs for over boosting and the like ??

maybe 250-280 atw . I know most of the pit falls ive had what I want to do for ages just hasent happened . its manual s1 so its got the sh*tty 5 speed (but ive had no troubles with it ) maybe a 6 speed swap ? need valve springs and those little niggly things . I mainly want it breathing well , good exhaust and cooling good cause summers sh*t with the stocker I/c ! instead of just uping boost to acheive the same thing .

ahh newy might be an option , starting a new job soon so ill be between sydney and newcastle more . ive just had the shocks(monroe gt's ) done and some dba slotted and vented rotors/bendix ultimates , still needs some more suspension work ( bushes and some springs ) . id like to do ic/cai kit myself then go get it tuned up . not in a hurry though

its only 40 odd mins to hornsby , id love to drop it at nizpro/cv performance or the like but I thought maybe keep it local ! easier to get around. ill be visiting plazmaman for the gear ( I love there stuff ! ) who were you thinking ms700 ??

Depends on the service persons mood I guess , when I went in for my 1000klm check up , ford told me they had to replace 2 wheel nuts (and was charging me) because they had no thread ! I had the car for 2 weeks and I told them to cop it ( because its new ) and id just payed $45000 for a new vehical ! he wouldnt wear it so I told him lots of things and was never returning ! I went to the next nearest dealer and they were not too impressed but nothing happened . Never had any trouble with the other dealer though .

I've had my s1 ba manual turbo since new ( 5 speed ) , it's now got 120 000 on it the only hassle I've had with it is the damn handbrake loosening up too quick between services !! I've had my fair share of drags at the lights and she knows how to get sideways had the clutch slip once oh and the IRS centre bush replaced but I was towing a bit then . Other than that it's been sweet sure the later models have updated stuff and issues rectified but if you can find one at the right price you can use the extra cash on other areas ?? Just my opinion ........
