1. My car has run nothing but E85 for nearly a year. No dramas so far.
2. If kept in a sealed container in a dark cool place e85 will last years without losing octane. Has to be sealed! No moisture at all can get in. As E85 is water soluble if moisture or water gets in it, it will go bad over time. E85 FTW!
3. 4.
cool, how about the bi-xenon's? also what brand are these kits? cheers.
Sure BiXenons are $239. Brand is VEGA DIAMOND.
5. Single beam kits will be $199 delivered. Kits contain: 2x HID bulbs (size and Kelvin rating of your choice) 2x Slim line Gen4 DSP Ballasts (w/Decoders) Mounting brackets and fixings Manual Also has newer style square connectors same as the PHILIPS HID kits.
6. If anyone is interested in HID kits, I can source some great high quality items. Slim Gen4 DSP ballasts with inline decoders etc. If I get some interest ill see if I can get a GB going.
7. Any glare that you are experiencing would be more prevalent with the 55w HID kit. I only recommend 55w to rally and offroad customers. 35w is plenty for normal night driving. As Pat said make sure your bulbs are secure and the headlights are properly adjusted.
8. Just follow the install guide mate.
9. I also cant access the Ticket System???

HIDs actually run colder due to only operating at 35w. The yellowing is from years of dirt and heat.

Certainly not 10,000k. More like 4300k-5000k. IMO anything over 6000k is not really ideal for road use. The Lumen rating drops as you go up in Kelvin. With the 8000k and above the light penetration gets very poor in bad weather conditions. So I would be happy with the colour of the HIDs you have. Even if they are not what you originally wanted. However if you still want to try 10,000k for a comparison just shoot me a PM.
12. Money and research. If you do your homework and put your money in the right mods, both skylines and XRTs can be as quick as each other. The 6 speed auto Ts are a bloody quick car standard, so its just a matter of throwing a few more KW into them. The real challenge is for the manuals. Getting 1800kg (some more) off the line is the key. The right combo of clutch, tyre, launch RPM and power is far harder to achieve. So IMO this comparison of skylines and XRT should be just manuals and 2WD only. Stock 32GTRs can run mid to high 11s, you would need to spend a fair bit of coin to get a GTST to run a time like that. At the moment I think a stock XRT could get me off the line as I spend all my energy just trying to keep the wheels from spinning in the first 3 gears. As for me the next round of mods will in in the suspension. At the latest Wholesale Suspension open night it was very clear that my neg camber is a little too much for the power level, would be fine for something mildly modded but now I need as much tyre on the road as possible. I will also be going to street slicks :( At the end of the day if either car is setup right it comes down to the driver. Maybe should have a skyline VS XRT day at WSID lol
13. Most reflector type headlights need some sort of shielding on the bulbs so as not to blind oncoming drivers. However I have noticed on the Fords that the shielding is not needed if you adjust your headlight beam properly.
14. HIDs are very easy to install. There is a HID install thread here on the forum. Check it out
15. Bitdefender has been in the top 5 best Antivirus and Antispyware programs. Norton has dropped out of the top 10. I was using AVG, now use BitDefender. Best choice!
