  1. BA NA6 flat tray & I get 11 on highway & 14 around town. Average 12.5 for mixed use. This is without any effort to minimise fuel usage.
  2. Yeah, it goes away with extra revs. I'm used to it now. Suspect all is normal.
  3. New fan installed & ticking gone. Driving in blissful silence. No refund for $55 but no charge for new fan. I suppose the filter needed cleaning anyway.
  4. Hasn't been discussed but I will be strongly putting my case for a warranty fix & for a $55 refund for the work that didn't fix it. Part arrived today & probably put in next tuesday. I will report back. To be honest the cost isn't a big issue compared to getting it fixed. It is spoiling my enjoyment of an otherwise sensational car.
  5. Ford service cleaned out the filter & fan motor at a cost of $55 & still ticking. Goes back tomorrow.
  6. '06 XR6T with dual zone climate control has started a very annoying ticking when the climate control is on. Not always but most of the time. Experimenting seems to suggest it is the fan motor. Anyone had trouble like this & is it a big job to repair/replace? I'm still under warranty for a couple of months.
  7. I have a '04 BA 4 speed auto NA 6 flat tray with 30,000 fm on the clock. Lately I have noticed a vibration goes through the car when slowly accelerating in 4th gear. Do these gear boxes have some sort of torque converted lock that kicks in under low load in 4th gear as there seems to be 2 different rev levels when doing approx 100k in top gear. The vibration starts when the revs are at the lower level. Any thoughts?
  8. Perhaps they would have been even happier with the results if the job had been done?
  9. Is this what we are talking about for my BF XR6T http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=120383221260
  10. Thanks BA-PHOOM A bit far from Squeaking Point Port Sorell but good to know.
  11. I'm from Tasmania & just wondering who works on your XR6T & are they any good.
  12. Hi all. Just got a BF 06/06 XR6 Turbo. Love the car but am looking for a good reliable mechanic to look after it in Tasmania. Preferably in the Devonport area but anywhere would do. Here's a pic.
