Hey mate, I've got the 05 F6 manual, with the same dramas. Just picked it up from the dif reco place, the pinon gear was getting too much axial play.... $1623 later, the lapped my crown/pinon saving me and other $600 and she's a whole heap better. Ford do not set the diff's right out of the box so they say it's pretty common to have dramas with the diffs. Good Luck Dave

My Ba MkII Typhoon is leaking from the same place. fraud wanted $90 to replace it, but the service boys just told me to just buy a small section of hose for a fraction of the cost... I wonder what they put in the coolant so that it marks where it is leaking from? pretty neat I reckon. Thanks dave

Thanks for the tip Pete A. I tried your tip and it did go away for about a min but then it came back. I un-clipped the glove box and found that there is a removable filter installed in front of the air box. I pulled it out and cleaned it up, but the noise was still there. I then blew compressed air inside to see if it was just something lodged in there, and although a bit of crap came out, the noise is still there. I'm pretty sure it must be bearing noise from the fan now. it only does it low fan speeds, and you can feel it throught the housing. so I'll have to start hunting around for another fan motor.. thanks

Hey Guy's My BA MkII F6 has a loudish ticking noise coming from the cabin cliamte control fan. When I turn the climate control off it goes away so I'm pretty sure its from the fan. When there is a little sideways load on the the car, like from going around a corner it goes away which leads me to think that there just might be dust deposits on the blades of the fan and it making the noise because it's out of balance. It's pretty damn annoying noise and having the stereo pumping all the time also gets a bit much, so my question is, has any one else had this problem? that is how hard is it to get to the fan? I'm hoping it's not a dash out jobbie. Thanks

I've only had the typhoon 2 weeks and have already pulled driving duties for a wedding, tomorrow! Sorry mate, but she's yellow. Good luck. Thanks

Like a kick in the nut's!!! First day back at work tomorrow, so you can be sure the boy's will be out in droves to check out my new show pony, and there I'll be starting it with a screwdriver like I stole it! Well, I'll distract them with the cracked fog light lense I just found as I washed her the arvo Got a brother in law who works for Ford so I'll get him to price and order me a replacement tomorrow. should be cheaper than the $500 price that Ford normally charge, seeing as the $280 are second hand ones and I don't want it happening again. thanks

Mine just broke out of warranty. I pushed the button back in with the spring but it got stuck on, and so I had to try and pry it out as carefully as I could, but I did damage the clear plastic part of the button. I use a small screwdriver to push and start her to get me around till monday when I can order a replacement. Thanks

Hey Guy's Yeah, still here, just have been away for the christmas break and have only just back online. Well, my starter buttons have fixed themselves... the button FELL OUT!!!!!! I read that this is not all that uncommon a problem, but I will now have to replace the whole button assembly anyways. There goesa another $280+ install but I'll take it to ford and that way I'll be sure it works properly when it comes back. Thanks for the tips so far anyways. thanks

Private purchase... Too late to hand it back. I've fallen in love with it. I just want to FIX it. Thanks

Hey Guy's I have just bought an 05 typhoon and love it! except for the cheap and nasty clock on the sunnies holder. It's just such a tacky bit of equipment in an otherwise real nice interior. If it lit up blue like the rest of the dash it would look soooo much better. Does anyone know of a better replacement/mod that could be done? Thanks

I like things to work the way they are supposed to... thanks

Just went outside to confirm while it's dark. As I turn the key to the "ignition on" position, the button's red light flickers on for 1/2 sec (can't see it in the daylight ), and then goes out. the car can still be started, and it does the same regardless of whether the lights are on or not..... thanks
