hey wheres the map going to take us?
  8. it should be basically a good thing it was a cop car because they would have drove it fairly hard and sealed the rings in properly, therefore leading to a longer lasting, stronger and more powerful engine to someone that had babied their turbo. dunno about the rattle though.kinda hard to judge without hearing it like xrt166 said, your gonna have to inspect it for shaft play. look at everything that holds the turbo, make sure all the bolts are tight
  9. listen for any exhaust leaks, like a consistent spitting noise. my 4 bolts holding the turbo to the headers were loose! check that the oil feed line at the turbos end isnt dark in colour (could be a possible oil block if it is). you can compare it to the coolant line right next to it. cant really think of anything else
  10. yeah well I use a 16mm deep socket with rubber for the sparks, take the plastic cover off. take the coil out., I got NGK with a 0.8mm gap. refer to the handbook at autobarn or where ever you get them for the part number.
  11. yeh was off while the paint dried haha got bored.

  13. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Universal-38mm-Blow-off-valve-BOV-T-Pipe-Adaptor-Flange-/150476268973?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item230915a5ad one of them for the bov and the breather hose has a air hose fitting screwed into the 45degree pipe. I just drilled a hole and worked it till it was the right size where it was a tight screw in. and I squeezed the hose over the original 90degree breather plug thing. does that help? tell me if it doesnt make sence haha ill post pics
  14. I had, 5" hi flow cat, 2x2.5" cat back exhaust, pod hanging off the turbo and didnt get a engine light, and the car ran fine. I did get it tuned after although and the tune made a huge difference. If you get a engine light from a hi flow cat its probably because the heatsheild over the dump pipe has been bumped when the Cat was installed and is touching the wires on the oxy sensor. just make sure your boost regulator is clean and on firmly to the pipe to the turbo and it shouldnt overboost oh and oil. nulon 5w-40 full synthetic 6.6Ls worth ryco oilfilter will do for $10- and I got RDA slotted for the front $160ish from the keysborough store. no warps and still pull up hard after 20,000kms if the spark plugs havent been changed in 80,000+ kms , you may wannaa do that too? and maybe replace the diff oil
  15. oh and the airs coming from behind the headlight. works well. will eventually try make a intake box for that side
  16. lol it was only temporarily with the cover off. from the turbo, I have 3" 45degree silicone bend and 3 inch 45degree pipe to the pod. for the top. 2.5" 45 degree silicone pipe. 2.5" pipe. and 2.5" to 3" reducer silicone pipe, managed to stretch over the 3.125" throttle body cheers
  17. Yeah partly due to what you said, and also got a awesome price(699) for the GT2 kit due to a group buy no idea man. it was just what the obd2 program says. boost comes on alot more quicker now, ive also changed the flex pipe to a silicone one

sorry to bring this post from the dead but did you beat him? please say yes
  21. ah yea thanks mate. I tried that and didnt have any success, I just dont know how to make the nut turn to get the thread to grab. is there a tool I dont know about for it?
  22. sorry to steal 1 of the photos, but was wondering how anyone got the top and bottom right hand side bolts on? mine currently looks like the one in the picture because the 2 right bolts have fallen out along the way and cant seem to get the new bolts in, such a difficult angle I just cant seem to get either one of them in. ive removed the coolant line and all that but just cant get the bolt to grab the thread.. theres just not enough room for movement, im using a ratchet spanner and my fingers dont fit to spin the nut. seems impossible any tips?
  23. yeah it shouldnt be a problem and yea they offer the 580x285 size for the ba/bf xfor 770. or a smaller 580x210 for $660. probably worth $100 more but the top bit of the taller one wont really get the wind into it
