  1. probably the most annoying part about this car I think... it takes me about 5-10 minutes to fill the tank because I have to just let it trickle in. pretty poor..
  2. ive got them in 19's, quite happy with them. for the price a very good tyre I rekon.
  3. hey mate. well mine is about 4 months old, built by request 09 model. black, auto, hard cover with remote locking, reverse sensors, ipod, matts, scuff plates. it was 43,600 on the road with 12 months rego etc. hope that gives you an idea. cheers.
  4. you have convinced me. I think that sounds really good, im going to get it done to mine. does it drone at all on the highway? auto or manual? cheers.
  5. ha ha nah he was alright about it he said I shouldn't have tried to stop...
  6. don't know about dsc but I know the abs still works good... tested that out when I didn't see a pedestrian crossing lol.. still pulled up well without locking them up..
  7. yeah I have heard about the cv's going... I just hope it does not go, but if it does I will be getting ford to replace it (will raise it again first)... that is pretty crap though that your f6 did it without even being lowered. poor form if you ask me.. if the car is rated to carry 550 kg or whatever it is, then it should be able to do at least close to that all day every day and not blow up cv's.. but I will see how I go.. cheers for the info..
  8. hi guys I had the rear of the ute done, so I thought I would share the results. I had the SL springs put in, and although there is a bit of talk that they don't lower the car at all, the front came down 15mm from stock, which I am happy with. I had the rear leafs reset 35mm lower than stock. So here are some before and afters.. they are only dont on the phone so they are pretty bad but you get the idea... Note that the rear is sitting about 45mm lower than stock in the after photos as I have my tools in it. The first 3 pics are before lowering, the last 5 pics are after lowering. cheers kyle
  9. my xr6t ute does the exact same thing. at first I thought it was a problem but I have since written it off as the torque converter reaching its stall limit and "locking in".... it only does it a lower rpm.. if it kicks back a gear or two doesnt do it...
  10. Hey mate I had the king KFFL-40SL put in the front of my fg turbo ute a week ago. it dropped it 15mm. which is not as much as I expected... but I think it was enough to make a difference, and with the back lowered 35mm it now sit perfectly level. And the springs might still sag a bit more yet... If you were purely going for looks I would put in the ssl. but for looks/practicallity I think the sl is a good height. I have already dragged the front bar over a normal curb before the thing was lowered at all! hope this helps.... btw I will be posting some before and after pics on the weekend after I wash it..
  11. I have heard the fuel sloshing around from outside the car when I get out but not inside the car with the windows up.... with windows down I probly could if I listened for it..
  12. are you sure it does not have remote locking on the hardlid? mine does and it makes a loud locking noise when I lock it...
  13. looking good, what brand of wheels are they? look like simmons?
  14. just a quick update, had the SL king's put in the front today but it has only dropped about 12mm. so I am waiting until next week for them to sag a little and then im going to do the back so ill have pics up then. cheers.
  15. I would say they can just re-set the kings you ordered, just like they reset stock springs? not 100% sure though. my ute has been moved back to friday t be lowered so fingers crossed it actually happens... has been moved a couple of time already as the mechanic is really busy. ill post up pics as soon as its done..
