  1. Yes replaced the relay as it come up on the scantool as a fault code!
  2. Hey there, another post from me, my horn doesn't work, come up with a relay code on scantool, replaced relay, press horn and relay is clicking, so must be horn itself, where are they situated?? Thanks,.
  3. Well guys after a few small issues, it is the catalytic converter. Was melted on one side.... now it goes like the clappers. Thanks for your your help guys...now where is the horn?
  4. When I had the turbo off, I checked that the wastegate was closing and the actuator seemed ok, was quite heavy to open the wastegate.
  5. hey quadie, don't have access to scan tool till thursday or next week sometime...will do that and see what comes back, thanks for your help!
  6. ok will do, think it will be, u can give it a big rev and turn it off and its still spinning
  7. Ah no boost gauge available, but on scan tool, pulled up a view of manifold pressure and sitting on just below 100 kpa, which is atmospheric, didn't change a bit when put foot to the floor and a stand still, no boost. No its not revving ok, very slow to even rev at idle.
  8. Hi guys, first time I have had to use this site for fixing my own car!! So here goes, my ute all of a sudden lacked power when under load up any sort of incline, or foot flat to the floor, on the flat roads still no boost but can still drive the car comfortably. It had a couple of exhaust manifold bolts loose, so I took the turbo off and manifold and replaced all gaskets. Test drive car still the same. But second time I drove it, engine light came on and I had it checked and the code was for a air intake temp sensor?? Ford told me it was a map sensor so I replaced that, test drive still the same. Engine light on again after a couple of drives. Plugged into a snap on scan tool and the code was wastegate failed to open. Ended up taking the boost solenoid off to see if it was blocked and I could blow through it both ways. Sprayed it with wd and put it back on. (Should it have a ball valve or something inside?? Was quite heavy for a small unit?) Back on the scan tool and no change...... *small dent in cat converter(could this be a back pressure problem??) *no exhaust leaks *new map sensor *turbo inlet and exhaust are spinning freely *all hoses are tight and no cracks from what I can see(no noises either) *manifold pressure didn't increase on the scan tool going from idle to flat(no boost) *owned the car since new, always good oil and changed at regular intervals(ex mechanic) *mm not sure what it is...any help would be much appreciated....don't want to give ford mechanics my money!!! Thanks heaps guys! Greg
