I have a very similar set up to what you are referring to, my set up consists of a etm tuned length manifold gtx3582r turbo an 48mm external wastegate. Using this set up I managed to make more horse power with less boost, much quicker spool, and great boost control.
-
Another think to check is the wiring harness at the back of the motor, its for the cam sensor, what happens is the turbos heatr burns all the insulation of the wires an then they start earthing out, causing all sorts of dramas.
-
love the set up you going an love the car, I seriously cant wait to see your beast with the new turbo, its going to be awesome.
-
Cars looking great jason, good on ya mate, cant wait to see what you get.
-
That sucks joe, for all that you have done and then for someone to do this to you is a disgrace, but I tell you what joe, your customers know how hard you work to make them happy, they know how much of a great person you are an how honest you are.Joe mate as a customer of cms myself there would be no chance for anyone to ever lure me away from you, know matter what an I bet that goes for the rest of your customers aswell.

LOL matt let you know of my secret. Its good stuff george.
-
Lol standard ba bottom end with standard rods an all.
-
Still stock 160,000 k block.
-
Yea I know lol, its a crazy angle, dont know why he did it that way.
-
Yea its a 3.5 to 4 inch step up, im actually using a aftermarket 4 bolt exhaust housing for external wastegate only and the outlet is 3.5inch that's why etm made the dump pipe like that, also he said that it spools harder using this design. I still have the standard ba block, have done about 20,000 ks on 400rwkw an it still going strong.

Thanks mate

Here is a few pictures of my engine bay. I have done a lot more work now. I have put basically a new fuel system in consisting of all speedflow 200 series fittings, -6 and -8 with new turbosmart fpr 2000 fuel regulator. All teflon -6 and -8 lines modified plazmaman surge tank, speed flow fuel filters, 100micron and 10 micron. Everything now is Teflon from tank to rail and I am very happy with the speedflow fittings and teflon lines as they are so easy to work with. Sourced it all from MSCN Motorsport Connections, Seven Hills. The only thing I have got left to change is the stupid Bosch 2000cc Injectors, they just keep failing for some stupid reason. I have had 2 injectors fail on me already.

Il sell you a 1200hp turbosmart reg an fittings, good price to

From memory I remember having a similar problem to this 4 years back, at lights it would just rev up an down an then shut off, but while driving there was no problem at all, no missing or anything like that, it came down to injector scaling, so your problem could have something to do with tune, I understand you have a capa flash tuner, I wonder if your car is tuned or if its put back to standard, anyways your best bet is to visit a tuner and with all there tools an knowledge they will get it perfect for you, I use joe from cresent motorsport he always gets it perfect for me, an his not to far from you. Goodluck an hope you sort it out soon.

Lol yea that's me, running 17psi 410rwkw, 155 thousand kay ba standard block, you may have witnessed when I was running 24psi on normal 98 unleaded pump after I got an intake mod done, now I can tell you lol that's spooling an getting your boost on:)
-
I use a walbro 295 intank, plasmaman surge tank with a aeromotive a1000 pump and bosch 2000cc injector

Hi go see joe from cms motorsport ph 9600 6229, his in liverpool an his a whizz with these cars.
-
Hi mate. yea I am using united e85.
-
Hi mate they say 6 tanks of e85, then one tank of 98 unleaded, sould alleviate the problem, theres also a e85 injector cleaner out there, but dont stress mate, if your car feels good you have nothing to worry about, you will feel the car not run right if there was something wrong,an then from there no thrashing the car and sort the problem out as soon as possible. My problems I believed occured was with using 98 premium for over 145 thousand kays then converting to e85 which would have flushed an cleaned out all the gunk out of my fuel system, but my pumps are all fine injectors aswell, an since I cleaned out the rest of the system the car is running perfect, just last night took it out for a belting and it loved it, feels like 410rwkw again With your surge tank check all your lines for cracks an if there not e85 compatible change it to a hose that is, right now im using a new version of 3/8.gates barricade greensheild that is e100 compatible but im yet to give motorsport connection feedback of this hose. At my next service I will be ripping out the whole fuel system out again an check to see how things are going and il let you guys know.

If you guys do a google search on black goo after using e85 you will see that this is a very common problem all over the world, I wish I had pics of my injectors to show you guys what I mean, but doing a google search will show you exactly the problem I had.
