  2. Very nice fc mate, if you going to want information and great parts, the best person for you to speak to is brad from attomic performance parts. His landline phone no. is 02 8665 5889 this is the best person to speak to for all your barra engine information, you could also visit his youtube channel were he has techtips and products on show. 1500hp wont be a problem with this engine as we have quite a few making that in australia, we even have dion from dynomite performance making over 2000hp.

  4. Hi everyone, does anyone know were I could buy a alternator that has at least 130amp for a ba falcon xr6 turbo sedan, I do know fg have 130amp but there a 3pin while ba are 2 pin. Has anyone modded a fg alternator to suit ba? Reason I ask is the car is suffering bit of voltage issues were my car drops dangerous amount of voltage while running, I run 3 pumps and a few other accessories and I know these sapp some amps.
  5. I have heard this sound before, usually hear it when someone goes a bigger cam and still run the original vernier sprockets. Or it could just be a faulty vernier sprocket .

  7. hi @rollex great work you guys doing, by any chance can you sort out the issue of the abs faults and shut off when driving around with 28inch tyre height at the back and 26 at the front, do not want the issue of trying to stop my car doing 150mph plus at the drags with no abs.

At the time I got mine was about 5 years back,had all the braided lines, smaller exhaust, gtx3582r on stanard manifold, an standard intake, no visable fuel mods an stuff like that, an he engineered it, he did say if there was a upgrade in turbo or fuel system that I would have to go to the pits, since the gtx was a straight bolt on I just told him it was standard an he believed me.
  10. Some people really like them some people do not, but I had no choice, the way that turbo produces heat just cooks everything around it, warps my bonnet an all. Im just waiting on some carbon guy to mak me an xr8 bonnet an I will but a custom vent on the back of the buldge which would make it look more good to the eye. But at the end of the day engine bay temps dropped by 20degrees an intake by 10.

I do have an engineer certicate from my old set up, this time round iv changed the turbo an gearbox, few little minor mods like in closed air box an other little bits will need attention but I am not going to bother, as I will have the car like this for another year an then I will be taking it of the road an making it a dedicated drag car.
  12. Thought I would show you guys my car which has been built by me and the guys at CMS motorsport. The car is making 800rwkw (1080hp at the wheels). The aim is to still have it as a every day streetcar, but a street car that is capable of mid 8 second passes. The list of modifications are .Built engine with atomic 698 gear je pistons, arp 2000 studs through out, race girdle, o ringed block, cms ported head, stage 2 cam package. .johnny tig 1800hpcooler, hypertune plenum, custom pipe work done by chris from custom mobile fabrication. .1500hp th400 transbrake transmission,custom billet 2 piece converter. .custom build front mount surge tank with 3 pierburg pumps an a 460 walbro as a pick up, id 1700 injectors , turbosmart fuel reg. .custom tail shaft with truetrac diff, ims diff hat an 1400hp driveshafts. .still standard ecu with ams boost controller, autometer gauge set up .custom spec suspension an shocks .Tuned by joe from cms an I got to thank him for all his hard work with the car, best tuner out there in my eyes, cars never missed a beat just keeps going an going, engines 4 years old as well. I will keep you guys updated as I am soon to take this down the track, videos an more pics an updates coming soon.
  13. with a btr transmission never hit 4th with load, sports mode will shift in 4th so only use manual mode. With the btr even on the streets drive it on manual mode if your going to give it a bit here an there, only drive it in other modes if your going to cruise. I managed to keep my box in great condition this way for 4 years while pushing over 550rwkw an running heaps of nine second passes.

Thanks mate, I have a build thread here that I will be up dating soon as I get a bit of time, basically before hand it was a 9 second car with a btr 4 speed, but in the last year iv changed the setup dramatically. the car has a build engine with mostly all atomic 698 gear but with a bit of extras to hold the power better, the head is hand ported with cms spec cams, 1500hp rated th400 with custom billet bolt together converter, the turbo is a precision sportsman gen2 7685 turbo rated to 1350hp which after the second round of fine tuning I amhoping to get to 850rwkw mark, all turbosmart gate an regs an blow of valves, boost is controlled by co2 pressure ams 1000 unit, gipson tail shaft an true track 3.46 diff ratio, billet 1400 cv driveshafts ims diff hat, all autometer gauges,johnny tig 1800hp intercooler, hypertune plenum, crg turbo manifold, the car still runs the standard ecu with sct tuning software which joe from cms has been tuning this car for years,. I will be up loading more videos soon to my build thread an sharing more information on the progress of this car. The aim is to run 8.5s 160 plus mph streetcar.

  24. thanks mate, xforce would have been a great choice but I need a full 4inch to support 800rwkw, I'm basically trying find a well priced one an not to expensive. Gave one shop a call an they quoated me 3000 dollars for mild steel, an I'm for sure not paying that. Anyone heard of tog they want 1600 bucks an it has v band.
  25. Can any one tell me were would be the best place to purchase a 4inch cat back exhaust system for my ba xr6 turbo sedan? I'm from Sydney so if you guys know of any good exhaust shops let us know thanks,
