Agreed. Also what about Toyota, that was another. Haven't heard any more about that for ages.
-
That's my point also. The brand loyalty has gone ages ago, probably Johnson and Brock, Bowe and the like at their prime were the last bastions of real brand loyalty. It's a business. It's just the way it is.

Interesting comment.............. Silver is the most popular colour on the road, and I have never been able to find out why. I'm not knocking everyones choice, it's up to the individual, but there must be some reason. I recon there must be probaly 20-30% of all cars are silver. What's the attraction?

Seduce is one of the best colours. Since I've had my 6T I've never got so many compliments before about the colour particularly in daylight. I've got tints and makes a BIG dirrerence to the looks. I also put turbo badges on the doors. That also finishes the look nicely and I cannot understand why Ford don't do it standard.

IMO. I've lost interest in Supercars ages ago because of the over regualtion, the fact that none of the drivers have brand loyalty, it's all about money. Car permormance are identical, in the end it's the drivers, tactics, and pit crews and the setup of the car that determines the result in every race. I watch the first 2 hours of Bathurst for the spectacle of the thing. It's a great fast track, but after that it's very Ho-Hum I'm afraid. I would have preferred a better result for Ford for sure, but the writing was on the wall before the start I'm afraid. Don't forget that Courtney still leads the championship by a considerable margin. So that means overall he's been the better performer so far throughout the championship, or does it? But the points structure is still not right with focus on finishing rather than winning still the dominant focus. It's just boring I'm afraid. Frosty made a bit of a fool of himself with the quality vs quantity statement even though I liked it at the time. The turning point was when Courtney had to change the splitter. Maybe it's time to add more V8 manufacturers to the mix, because something has to change. That wreck was an amazing display of modern racing car technology. A real shot in the arm to the V8 organisers for the car specifications. I still think (and always have) that safety cars are deployed far too easily, even though we had less this year and they should use car cranes at specific areas of the track rather than stupid time wasting tow trucks. Bathurst is a great race, and the best team won - not the best car, and that's the difference these days!

I hope it looks better on the road than the pictures. Now the current RS looks great! This looks more like a something that a Klingon warrior would drive. Yuk!

Welcome back. I have 19" spare and the boot level recess is flat, no bulge in it with the 19" spare. Don't know if the 50th is different. I wouldn't think so. Ford alarm upgrade is fine IMO.

Both shows are 100% scripted. This is probably the biggest problemlong term.

I was a bit 50:50 on it to be honest. Better than previous - yes, but let's see how they pan out over time. They will never top the UK show, so they shouldn't really try. This is where they've failed in the past. However I still did see quite a bit of characterisation copy of the UK mob with the Oz mob. I stopped watching the Oz version early in the piece because it was pathetic crap. I'll start again with the new series and see how it pans out. I'll give them a shot but I have my doubts. I also think the UK show needs to pick up its act as well. There is way too much focus on Supercars and high performance machines that a fraction of the public can afford. I'd love to see them test other Aussie cars than bloody Commadoms. F6 or 6T - yeah! I also think it would be good for them to occasionally do a serious comparo or test, for a serious result. Albeit with their humnourous spin. If the UK version was truely global in its approach to testing cars, then the Oz version would not need to exist. Maybe that's why.

I have seen probably 3 different cars around my area with the bonnet change. I saw one in the West which was "black" when the rest of teh car is red. YUK!!!!!! So they must have got a few takers.

When I bought my FG6T about 18 months ago, the dealer had a 6T ready for delivery with an XR8 bonnet on it. He told me at the time they would do it and spray it for $800 all up.

The premium screen on my FG is just OK at high temps. The white display screen on the instrument display goes a bit wonky on hot days ~35+. These devices are not designed to handle that amount of direct heat. I use a windscreen heat reflector (which you should use anyway to protect the dash and instruments) and everything is fine. 25 deg does sounds a bit low however, but I don't have the standard display. I have noticed that the display cools down very quickly when you switch the aircon on. I am sure that cold air is being pushed to the premium display. Anyway a sun reflector works well and the displays are fine even in 40 Deg heat.

Radio volume is the benchmark. This is because it goes through tranmission limiters which limit the dynamic range of the signal (and other things) that's why it is quieter than normal CD etc. That's also why some stations have better sound than others, because they have different settings on their transmitters. Nothing you can do about that. So match them by decreasing the volume of the ipod and Aux inputs if it's important to you. The iPod and MP3 rippers all have different settings. They all treat the signal differently and you will also get different results. Even the master .wav files on a CD are different so not all CD's are the same either. The Premium system, nor any other systems can cater for that variation. It just deals with what it receives. One thing that I have been meaning to do. You will notice that your sub woofer has a cover over it in the boot. This is not really good for bass reproduction and one of the reasons why I think the BA sounded better. It was not covered. The Subbie needs to use the boot as a resonant cavity to provide the return air pressure. Theoretically this should improve the bass reflex response significatly. I haven't yet tried it myself. But theoretically it should. Anyone done it. Cheers.

If he was doing 210Kph in a 50Kph zone, the car should be crushed. Licesne disqualified for 5 years, and give him community service helping victims of road accidents.

I've left my car of 3-4 weeks and it kicks easily.

My FG works as good as my BAII did. And it was good.

So heading down the straight. 73% will vote conservative 14% Labor 2 % Greens - they don't even deserve that - but anyway. 3% Ind 8% Donkey - always worries me, but better than voting for someone you don't like anyway. Donkey voters should have no views. If you put aside the fact that a lot of people have not bothered to register a vote on this forum and that some who voted didn't comment on the forum. You can ascertain that either not many Labor voters drive "blown" Fords, or there is a fairly massive dissatisfaction with the current mob! Personally I don't think the type of car is typical of the political persuasion, so I guess we can put that aside as well. Let's hope this sort of indication is carried forward tomorrow. Interesting forum guys. Cheers

Iraq is one thing. Time to clean up and move on Afganistan is another! The Taliban is a real problem.

Where the hell did you get that idea from? I've never heard anything so rediculous. What's there to fire at? If that's your situation and befief, then so be it. You're situation sounds just like Millions of others to me. It's just that others were not or are not affected the same way you think you were. Nothing to debate in my view.

At last reality. This article is 100% spot on.

I was planning to be a self funded retiree and hoped to retire in a few years time. This was on the basis of a retirement tax incentive introduced by Costello a few years back which allowed up to $100K per year inc employer contributions to be put into Super at flat 15% tax and so encouraged people over 55 to pour more into self fundsed Super - great plan and most financial managers strongly endorsed doing it. Because of this "lot" this has been cut to $50K per year and they are talking about reducing or removing it completely. This stupid, and petty decision to save a few bucks effects thopusands of people like me who were fully intending to self fund retirement. This now means I probably have to work another 2-3 years to achieve my goal. Any further reduction makes it worse. The blowoput in welfare dependancy will be considerable over time. This sort of issue (and there are probalby 100's of other similar examples of this Government disadvantaging the public and themselves) is not high profile and therefore escapes the day to day scrutiny of the special interest groups "rent a crowd" and the sorry excuse for media. I cannot understand why the election polling is supposed to be so close. It does not deserve to be. This "mob" are without doubt the worst we have had for a long time and the prospects of any great change in a second term are not very convincing. With regard to the election itself. Just about every political leader of any persuasion in the past has stood up and stated that "the Australian people are not stupid" WRONG they are stupid if they think that giving these guys another chance is going to make things better. It also astounds me how people could even consider a protest vote from Labor to Greens. Good god how stupid are they. OK, so let's get to the lunatic Latham. I must admit it's been a bit of a hoot seeing his abtics I must admit. Yes he's an idiot to many, but he is right about one thing. If you want to protest against Labor and don't want to vote conservative - FINE. Put in a blank form or vote for someone that won't direct their preferences to Labor. Do your homework. Let's hope that sanity prevails and I can't wait till Sunday when all this BS is over with. Problem is, it may be the start of something worse. BTW. If Gilligan gets it, She'll be gone in about 1-2 years when she falls out of favour with the power brokers. Deja Vu here. Cheers.
