Hi guys, got a 03 XR6t ute, its a auto, I am looking to convert it to manual, at the moment it is standard, but I have a cooler upgrade on order, and im getting an exhaust done when it gets flash tuned, so its going to be mildish power wise. I have heard that the 5 speed gear boxes arent that stong, I was wondering if it would be worth spending the money putting a 5 speed in it, as im not to keen on spending thousands putting a 6 speed in. any info would be great, thanks guys!! corey

Hi guys... I got a 03 XR6 Turbo ute... the speakers are starting to sh*t out on it, I am looking to upgrade them all. what I want to know is, are the rears 6x9 or 7x10 are the fronts 4 or 6 inches how do I go about hooking an amp and sub up to the standard head unit?? ive heard about adapters you can buy but not sure... any help would be great, I am REALLY useless with stereos! haha Thanks fellas...

exactly the same thing happened to me mate... I tightened them up, and they just came loose again after a few days, so I lock tightened them an I am hoping that has done the trick!

I got twin chrome 3 inch tips... I recon they look good!

I had an old sh*t box VL commodore, I did it up into an award winning VL turbo... I miss that car!

I did 5 laps with russell ingall around QR a couple of years back... was the best car experience ever!!

Hi guys... I have a mechanically standart 03 XR6t ute... I am getting it flash tuned in a couple of weeks, I am working to a budget as this is going to be my daily driver, I am looking to buy one of those monza coolers to go with the tune... however, I have heard some bad things about them, but I have also heard some good things if your not going for big horse power... my question is... is the monza cooler going to be ok with the flash tune?? AND what sort of power figure could I expect to make with this set up??

Hi Guys, I got a 03 XR6 Turbo ute, I have always used Caltex Vortex 98 in it, and I find it quite good, but today a dude told me that Caltex fuel is sh*thouse and I shouldn't use it, so my question is, which do you find better for the Turbo motor, Vortex 98 or BP Ultimate?? Thanks Guys...

oh ok... that hose under that battery is the only one I havent checked, thanks mate... it is running good, not missing at all, its different though, the boost isnt progressive like it was with the old coil packs, now it actually spools... but I will have a look under the battery!!

the coils were rooted!!! in high revs it used to surge quite a bit and a reliable mechanic told me to replace the plugs and coil packs... whtas this scantool you mentioned mate??

all fixed now boys!! thanks for your help... I just redid it all and it is firing all 6 now!! although when I took it for a drive I noticed that it has alot of induction noise as it comes on boost and when you back off the standard safety valve is quite loud, usually there isnt much induction noise and the safety valve doesnt make much noise either... I checked all the plumbing and its all tight, so maybe I did something wrong when putting it together!!!
