    I got a nice PWR one but it doesnt fit cause my intercooler is too thick, so I gotta find somewhere else to mount it

    oh awesome, thanks, ill definately check that out! yeah, I dont have an aftermarket transcooler, but I will be getting one for the built box, that's for sure!

    yeah, strengthened box is what I need, but just havent got 3500 to spend at the moment, if I can get a quick fix to get me through for a while ill be right, im going to be babying the car till then anyways!

    thanks lee, it only dropped 3rd and 4th today, I havent done any power runs in the high gears, it selects the gears, but slipps pretty bad, so I dunno, ill take it to the tuner tomorrow and get him to have a look!

    thanks heaps for your help guys, the tuner originally had the torque control turned up, but the car has having issues shifting or something, so he turned it down, think I will take it back to him and get him to turn it back up and run the valay tune till I can afford the build. *Beep* it is the 3rd and 4th gears slipping, 1st and 2nd are fine.

Hi guys, just bought a .7 comp cover and 12 pound actuator and have a few questions. 1. will the standard 03 BA waste gate flap handle this upgrade or will I need it get the bigger flap mod done 2. what sort of difference will this upgrade make powerwise (the car is going to be getting dyno tuned as soon as the comp cover is fitted) the car has all the goods to support the mod, but just mainly wanted to know about the stock waste gate flap. Thanks.
  10. Hi guys, Im sure there is a tread already about this topic, I just cant find it. I am wondering if anyone has a step by step "how to" for replacing standard valve springs with HD ones... I pulled it ll apart thinkin it wouldnt be such a hard tast... wow, by the looks of it, I was wrong. Any help would be awesome! Thnaks

    oh ok, thanks mate, might look more into it... I am also toying with the idea of going manual, but I cant really afford/dont want to spend 6 grand on a t56 conversion... I have been looking at the strengthened 5 speeds etc, only 1000 more than building my auto... so I dunno.

I have been told that the mk1 turbos came out with the BTR 4speed in them... just wanted to clarify that they are a BTR... also I have been told that it is pretty easy and cheap to make them handle 300kw... (I have a ute so I dont want anymore than that) "apparently" there is just an electrical upgrade you can do to strengthen them... I thought I would ask you guys more about it though.
  13. yeah, I have spoken to elite bud! not to bad on price either, I got a mate that is wanting to break into the flash tuning, he offer to do mine after hours free if I supply all the gear, so I dont think I can pass up that offer haha

Hi there guys, not to keen on spending big bucks on putting a T56 into my car, im only going to be pushing 350kw max out of it, I can get a T5 for nothing, is there anything to can do to strengthen them so they can handle that sort of power?? ive got the 4spd auto at the moment, but dying for a manual to have some mungee fun every now and then... if there is anything you can do to strengthen the bearings or what ever, what sort of price range will I be looking at?? Thanks!
  19. hi guys, just bought 2 of the iridium digital gauges (boost and oil pressure) looking at the installation guide the boost one looks pretty straight forward, but the oil pressure one looks farked... question 1. have any of you installed thes gauges before, how do you do the oil pressure one? question 2. what would be my best source for power for these??   21. ive been stalking through alot of the driveline threads, and it seems that the zf 6spd is a pretty good option... if and of you guys know what the comparison of price between the zf and the t56 is can you let me know... I have been contemplating selling my ute and getting a new one, but for a number of reasons I have become attached, dont want to go into more debt for a car and pretty much want to just modify a car again... What are your thoughts for the zf vs the t56??
