I wouldnt be too worried about a "new set of tyres"... cars need to be driven hard from factory. they already have been "worn in" at the factory. so theres no need to be easy. id take 20,000km on a set of tyres if I could - leather doesnt get sweaty - clutches are fine, but doesnt take much to overheat them (on track) - diff bushes are still prone to going.

yeh the gates are like the new big thing.. not that big in australia, but in america, the gates are becoming huge in name. im very interested in seeing how it holds up, im confident it will.

dads "work" ute FG F6 310 options: ZF automatic 6 pot brembos towball sports bars ipod/bluetooth kit 19" dark argents its awesome to drive... the flutter is so much louder than the BF one. but I have to get used to no clutch... yes I have smashed the brake down hard (3 times) thinking I was doing the clutch pedal this is my "comparison" of the two FGs compared to the xr8, its strange having an auto.. the XR8 feels like it just wants to hang it out and bake the tyres. (possibly due to the suspension and heavy clutch) the 310 feels like its a monster waiting to be unleashed when its off boost. surreal feeling. because at 100kmh in 6th gear it feels like if you put the foot down, you will be at 180kmh before your eyes can blink got Ford? haha. the XR5T was just out of shot.

anyways, the car has changed heaps in terms of projected power/plans etc now with / ordered / on the way in transit - 2433cc Siemens Injectors - 2x Magnafuel ProStar 750 series (swivel) 2500hp rated fuel pumps ... I had the ProTuner 625 (1500hp) pumps, but they couldnt do meth, so had to go the ProStars - Powerbond Race harmonic balancer (cant have factory one - safety regulations) - Synapse 50mm wastegate (the wastegate has no diaphragm, and 8 boost control settings) - seems to be the big new thing... will see how it goes

the bolt was blue from loctite so it wasnt due to a lack of it... im thinking it might have got so hot, it melted. unsure if that is possible, but that's the only thing I can think of yeh the rims are ok, a little scratched inside, but brake dust hides that, plus they were the sh*tter track rims (r34 gtr rims lol) but my caliper was a little scratched.. think I need a new one cos its dirty lol
