  1. the xr6t will be cheaper and easier to get power out of. ive towed a few things around in the FG F6 ute, no issues at all, saying that, my xr8 has a lot lower down torque, which would be awesome for towing.
  2. ok will do. as currently got a FG intake manifold (with FG rail), to bolt onto the (BA) F6 motor, until my custom Nitto plenum is made. and with the stock FG rail, I have to cut the ends off, weld dash 8 fittings for dual feed, and put a dash 8 fitting for the aftermarket fuel reg. ill check out their sponsor section / website now

  4. hey guys, very tempted to install cams. I will have to speak to my chosen tuner to speak in detail, but before that, I would like some info before I call so I have some options on cams etc which are the best 'off the shelf' grind for the boss 290s? (FG xr8) brands... crow, wade, who else? ideally, im wanting something midrange based, as I want low down torque BUT not too low to make it undriveable on the street/hard to launch at the drags and I dont want to be breaking too many parts. so I will need fuel system (will 60Lb injectors be suffice on a boss? or even the stock injectors?), and the usual 044. with the cam install, are there any hidden extras usually involved with the install? the factory exhaust is twin 2.25" mid section, going to a single 3" rear. will this be flowing enough? ... im basically wanting to retain the rear muffler (the fancy one.. varex style??) ... due to IM240 testing still being up in the air over in WA ive got a malwood opt3 clutch (with 35% extra clamp) .. so far its handled all the abuse I can throw at it (track work, drifting, and drags). are there any driveline parts that tend to break once power is upped on these FGs? cheers matt
  5. already modified... as its fully removed did you get a dyno sheet of prior to the plenum? would be interesting to overlay one over the other to get a comparision of response, boost control, afr's etc
  6. looks good fitted I still havent been able to fit mine (as the car is at the gearbox workshop) ... now im wanting back asap so I can fit the manifold. haha ill be modifying my rail to be duel feed (both ends) and get a fitted welded in the mid section of the rail for the fuel reg line.

  8. haha. die ross. I could bring the FG F6 out and get 12s .. but since last event, bad memories and flashbacks n sh*t. haha so the xr8 will be there the capri isnt far off quite exciting and the money from the 32 will pay the rest of the mods

  10. good move, speaking to atomic, the injectors dont fit into the fuel rail (size difference or something) quick question, do the runners line up/ bolts up? or is that the leg issue you mentioned?
  11. have you driven a Ford 5.4L lately? they are as gay as aids. the owners of FG XR8s, FG GTs,GTPS etc should be shot !

  14. no they wont :( they only fit the FG F6 utes with brembos that are Ego in colour so ill buy them off you, so I can put them on my FG F6 in ego haha, long story short they will fit
  15. retro wheels in sydney they were the ones Simmons told me to call when I wanted 15x4 and 15x10" FR15s (back when simmons were still around).

    oh how I love these motors the more WA 4L entrants racing the better, as ive heard that Gas Motorsport are trialling the 4L motor in one of their cars, instead of the usual 2JZ :o

    cheers, cos im thinking about getting myself a FG intake manifold just to get the capri running, and then work on my custom manifold. custom manifold has the Nitto runners, and a custom FG styled throttle body location. but with greater volume. as I have transbrake and the fact its not for the street, ill take as much air as I can :P you serious about the stock motor? ffarrkkk haha. ive done the safe stuff for my ba junker f6 motor oil pump gears and the atomic ovate race spec valve springs. its gonna love the T51 :D haha when that pops, its built motor time whats the rough price on a manifold off an FG?
  18. greater track and no more offset fail :( I run 25mm spacers on my 32 drift car, no probs encountered so far

    hey simon, f*cking insane. that's all ill say haha the stock FG inlet manifold, 1) can it bolt to the B series heads? 2) big intake plenum (Custom) would yield greater HP?
  20. mat, I recall that, the chick was wearing a seatbelt, but the chassis tore in half when the VT/Y hit the pole, she lost a leg and had parts of her skull on another car. lots of ppl saw it coming, and well it happened. it doesnt matter what training, what cars they are in, people are going to kill themselves, or yet worse still, innocent ppl

I went to WA Suspensions prior to ordering the car, so back in March/April 2008, started with Lovells superlow prototypes. then purchased the swaybars and coilovers at one time they've been bugging whiteline for almost a year about a front swaybar, so I guess whiteline wanted to shut them up the rear, dunno what size it is, its larger though. lol and dont know about the brackets, I got WA Susp to fit everything
