  1. its for my capri. running Powerglide, currently got 4.56 diff gears (need to go taller, something like 3.23 approx). and transbrake of course just wondering even though its going on a transbrake'd dedicated drag car (never will see the street etc), is the rear A/R too large, and will I need NOS to get it onto boost on transbrake? ... because im trying to avoid using Nos. would you recommend a 1.06 rear housing or similar then?
  2. currently got a T51 (journal bearing) with a 1.22 (rear A/R) to go onto my 4L (stock head and cams, but with the atomic race valve springs). talking to a few people, they say this might be a tad too large. so for those running T51s on their 4Ls, whats the turbo specs you use, what power you pushing, and what rpm does it hit max boost?
  3. I run pretty 'safe" offset with my FR19s (daily rims) ... but im increasing them to 10" on the rear, so it should be interesting but my track rims, ive always liked to go a tad more risky on the offset, R34 GTR rims (18x9 +30, all round), and now TE37s (17x9 +15 all round) here's the rims I had the other day, but have since sold. 19x8.5 +22 19x9.5 +25 slight rims poking out and old R34 rims and heres the new TE37s, its gonna be interesting once I get tyres on them, it will go in once the jack goes down and the xr8 has epic front camber so it will gobble it up
  4. ive used many types of rims for track rims. personal fave are my Rays Volk TE37s very light. 7.6kg for one rims (no tyre)
  5. who here is a big fan of offset? and im not talking about the offset fail that is the 2 inches on the rear of FG ute's. haha nothing like a car slammed on rims with a tough offset.
  6. car is still at Allfast Convertors (waiting on parts ... my fault). but the torque convertor, transhield, etc, are all done ordered a lovely piece of chrome moly through Hiro Performance ... an Atomic Flexplate ... they look insane. 9mm thick compared to the 1 to 2mm stock flexplate. so when this arrives, I can get the car back looking into ordering a 2nd wastegate (50mm synapse again), for "motor insurance", ill discuss with the tuner to see what he thinks. also while my fabricator (of custom nitto plenum) is doing R&D on a big plenum with the cnc'd runners, im running a FG intake manifold with the new process West fuel rail im going to run an 'up pipe' so my 75mm TB can bolt up
  7. this car has never seen the track..... Yfrog - fu022d
  8. no tune, stock airfilter, stock exhaust. etc it came down to Fords excellent quality and workmanship... will test drive it now, should be all good now
  9. it comes out of gear without the clutch ... but needs the clutch to be put into gear.
  10. ok, try this Video - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting <embed width="440" height="420" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://v6.tinypic.com/player.swf?file=106eu8g&s=6"><br><font size="1"><a href="http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=106eu8g&s=6">Original Video</a> - More videos at <a href="http://tinypic.com">TinyPic</a></font>
  11. ahh me slushy box. would it be a synchro issue? or even a loose shifter? the video shows the car in 5th gear when driving (in gear, clutch not engaged)... it has heaps of play in the gearstick as you can see I thought it was shifter possibilty, as there was a rattle from the shifter area (for the last fortnight), so I was gonna get it tightened when I had the chance (havent done it yet). unfortunately this is not the case :( it comes back after about a day or 2.. I had some people demonstrate it at a servo to me, and yeh, a day or 2 later and it was full of brake dust again
  22. I think its aimed at the general "avg joe" driver... not people who enjoy oversteer
  23. still has all the ford markings on it too think they could of took all the castings off to make it look smooth
