  1. ^^ WIN !!! yeh it would shield the intake manifold from "engine bay" heat.
  2. buying the bare manifold, and Process Fuel rail cost me all up under $900 including freight. it would be cheaper buying the FG fuel rail as is, as it comes with the factory fuel reg, but if you are going to go aftermarket fuel reg, go this combo. mmmm
  3. ^ I wish. that was Rod Sammit. he has a full bodied EL XR6T (Ovaboost tuned, Allfast gearbox). runs 8s for a while now built SOHC motor, Motec M800, powerglide, china turbo manifold, stock (ported) BBM (intake manifold), big turbo (turbonetics), Roo16. car is a weapon for a 1500kg car
  4. ^^ maybe steve planted it as hard as possible cos he thought the 5-0 was behind him
  5. even I didnt kill the BF's twin plate... saying that, didnt do skids in the car. but still, if I cant kill one, its not killable lol
  6. its gonna be pretty sweet traction hopefully isnt an issue with the big tyres, but the new mods will be zoooooooooom :D oh and providing I get the car back soon, getting some love (new tailshaft, new diff, new diff cradle, new starter motor)
  7. bingo. 330rwhp and 13.1 out of my stocker xr8. hard life from the get go. note: if you do give it a hard life, make sure you got a mate high up in ford servicing serious.
  8. what model falcon? if its the FG, theres 4 connections under the seat. one goes into the side of the seat (for the up and down front back button) the other 3 are on the seat rail, the connector closest to the pedals is the airbag on, check that's properly clicked in
  9. the atomic flexplate is very nice !!! much heavier than stock though.
  10. haha sorry bjc dean, yeh true, but motec does have DVCT capabities, ive just copied and pasted the below from the Motec site. lol I dont want to run 7s out of the bag haha. at your drag day im gonna practice my licensing passes, then work my way to a single digit time. but for now, the driver needs practice. MoTeC > M800 > Features
  11. fuel pumps run - check electric water pump runs - check thermos run - check transbrake engages - check linelockers switch on - check custom manifold getting made now pretty much. using the "6 boost" style collector (note: they dont make them, they buy them from a mob over east), but with 1.5" piping, not the 1.25" the 5" dump pipe with the screamer (think 2") exiting behind the front wheel. and the ecu, M800, supposedly that doesnt work on barra motors (LOOOOOOLLLL) getting wired up too. it seems Ovaboost & Allfast are quite excited about the car, something about being the same setup as Rod's EL XR6T, but 500kg lighter... and running on meth, better flowing manifold (intake and exhaust) and being DOHC not SOHC.... and hes running an impressive 8.7 out of that stay tuned people
  12. mikey, ill ask Simon about that 'upgraded' flex plate for you 2moro as said before, its fully seam-welded all around and toughened up.. unsure how much he wants, but it was destined for the Capri until I bought the Atomic flexplate. hindsight, the Atomic was a c*nt to fit, fouled a lot :(
  13. wow!! a 4000 pound car running 8s I wonder if the the G-tech guys are thinking of building a full tube chassis car to put that driveline into? something 2000 pounds would be a weapon.. scary times then
  14. ETC fault is due to the motor flooding maybe / overfuelling... ?? I parked my FG on a steep slope (about 30 degrees give or take a bit), front of car facing down the hill. started the car, and ETC error kicked in. drove it back onto the road, turned car off, turned it back on, and the error was gone.
  15. *sneak peak* (as I already had a photo in the Process West area that I forgot about)... heres from last week, as you can see, the FG manifold with the Process West fuel rail looks awesome. -10 braided hose & Earl fittings all around left my buttocks feeling rather used and abused, but end of the day, needed expenditure. no more photos until I get it back from Ovaboost and wash the car/shine up parts and have taken a photo of dyno sheet
  16. maybe but im not posting until end of next week should have numbers then.
  17. f*cking impressive to say the least. will be scary to see what that tuner can do in a workshop, cos with their current backyard setup kangeroos often jump away with exhausts and plenums oh another set of 10 second rims for me :D now with 10sec FR19s (thanks to dean) and now 10sec TE37s (thanks ross) hahahahaha
  18. try these guys for idea, probably not in the same state as you, but they got a HUGE range of Jap rims for you to get ideas on Wheels...
  19. yeh. last time I checked it was US$4k before freight. :-/ hell yeh ! that looks awesome. for perth ppl, is it just me or does it reminds you of [built R] in a way? 19s are just way too small for FGs as well
  20. Gram Light 57S-Pro... either charcoal or SMC finish. titanium lip. that would be ballin ! pity black doesnt suit them :(
