  3. you dont need a xr6t plenum and dont need to remove the butterflys. the butterflys will allow you to keep the longer path of the bbm runners, giving you better low down torque compared to a xr6t. perfect since you have the 4spd auto (?)

    track and Ford ute doesnt go hand in hand. I prefer driving my XR8 (sedan) harder than the FG F6 (ute), handling is a lot tighter. if that makes sense go the xr6t. insurance is less etc. saying that, a F6 ute is pretty fun to drive, and is fast, just stock they suck due to torque tags :(

I know that playground. was there one night with big adrian (insinr8r), big brendan (your mate), vesna and ves's mate (who was very drunk) .. she laid on the XR8.. she left a snail trail on my bonnet !! F-ing LOL ! was priceless. so so wrong, yet hilarious at same time. us (guys) were on the floor crying with laughter. put me down as a maybe for this, as theres racing up at Barbs
  9. lol. turned out that EF had broken valve springs for a long time. oooops and the lack on Anti-Limp-Home Module didnt help nor did the 1.15 rear housing on a street car which huge intake plenum etc. important thing is, I learnt a HEAP by working on that car myself, so it was a good education tool for the Capri but dean is correct, he is taking ownership for the next month, so when the invoices come in, he will pay, then I will take ownership of the car again. thus avoiding the added expenses of the mods. haha jokes aside, the delay was due to me holding up Ovaboost's progress on it due to me taking a tad long getting them Atomic/ARP headstuds. big thanks to MTE getting them to me on the day I needed them, no thanks to Myself for taking a week and a half to take them to Ovaboost. haha not long now
  10. they love it. I was dumping my Opt3+ at 5k RPM on ET Streets 275/40/R17 at 16psi. haha didnt slip check the clutch fluid (reserviour is near brake fluid), is might be a tad burnt. or need some air bled out

  15. unsure about the Snort short runner verison, but their top half plenums... were cheap ($900) but left a bit to be desired. a heap of us on PerthEseries bought them for our Turbo E series (about 6 of us) ... holes were not tapped out properly (on manifold bolt up section, holes for vacuum barbs, and the holes that the Throttle body bolted onto)... was a HUGE volume plenum but it was let down by this manufacturing flaws

  17. got bored yesterday, so I decided to put my XR8's FR19s on the ute until the XR8 is ready (tuesday ive been told). looks alright borrowed a mates 19x10 +28 (I think) FR19, still has offset fail :( then I got really bored, 31x13" slicks haha
  18. what about the people who want stupid power, did home work, talked to the right people, didnt cut corners, but handed their car over with a bucket of cash? but yeh, nothing frustrates me more than having a chat with a person who has a modded car, who doesnt have a clue whats been done to it. imo that's just a hoon, somebody who wants to go fast, but no interest in the actual workings of the car

  20. lol I wish !! I dont think retiring at 23 is a wise move ive currently just taken up a onshore/offshore managers position in an underwater robotics (ROV) company... no free time n sh*t but oh well. yeh, it will keep me entertained for a while quite excited to get it going
  21. dead easy. I pay Ovaboost to wire it up for me :D Mick is a genius at Motecs, so yeh Ovaboost and Allfast have done all my fabrication for me, as I dont have the spare time these days with work :( Saying that, everything looks porn so its money well spent
  22. to think I was worried about my chassis holding up to the power of the 6T. thinking the only motor its has was the 650flyHP clevo 383 N/A turns out the previous owner had a supercharged small block and it ran 7s.. fills me with more confidence with the car theres not much to do now: buy tyres for tuning (MT sportsman or something) buy Motec MSDL dash -- not needed at the moment, one of those "in the future" purchases make up pipe for throttle body make the wastegate port still has to be done (I think), then make the screamer pipe (easy) intall the Atomic Ovate styled valve springs oil lines for turbo wire up motec, and tune. unless im missing something obvious, then theres not much to do. unsure what im going to do with panel & paint now, as my painter (BBK) has stopped painting and started selling paint as a supplier. eeeeep :(
  23. nah im running mechanical gauge, so it will be a T-piece into the block (where switch/sender goes). one line goes to gauge, the other to turbo. unless theres something wrong with doing it that way?
  24. yeh same just trying to get a hold of the workshop (late friday arvo -- good luck ) to find out what hose I need for the oil supply line. factory oil supply came off the sender aye? either Dash-4 or Dash-6?
  25. sneak peak photo. dont want to give away too much yet its a depressing 4.5" dump pipe there. 1.5" pipes on the manifold. T51 the wastegate port has to be done on the rear housing in the photo, was done at the base due to it being a twin scroll turbo
