  1. didnt put 2 and 2 together, QR being Queensland Raceway? if you are doing more than 1 lap, then the tyres should get up to heat pretty easily. if understeer is an issue, then it could be the tyre warming issues, or even just too high pressure. I dont get much understeer now, pretty much zero, ive got a massive front swaybar on the most aggressive setting whiteline offer in the adjustable.. biggest issue is oversteer/ 4 wheel slides when the tyres are cold. try some lower tyre pressures to see if that helps 36 would be a good start in the front
  2. gotta love this weather when having to get under a car :( ahh me broken FG haha
  3. I was using 36-38 PSI in my front Corsa's (235/40/R18) due to the heavier front end (xr8), was actually quite nice ONCE they got warmth in the front end. the rears gripped well with 35 psi in them .. again, once warm edit you doing track work (eg: 1 warm up, 3 hot, 1 cool down) or motorkhana sprints that are sub 1 minute tracks?
  4. haha it's like that Jimmi. I run the 40 profile, as it gives an optical illusion, the car is actually higher, thus more ground clearance, but it tucks more tyre than a 35 profile (due to being more sidewall than a 35) so the car still looks low. means less chance of tyre bead popping off, and gives a slighty better ride. plus Potenza RE050A's are easy to find cheap as commo's have them
  5. ok here are the slightly silly width photos. front: 19x10 +10 im using a 245/40/R19 for more ground clearance (im on my 4th gearbox mount haha) and I needed to roll guards, even with -2.5 degrees of camber. with a 245/35 it's sidewall is 13mm lower, so it probably would clear the guards no issues. rear: 19x10.5 +23 using a 245/35/R19 tyre at the moment on the rear due to wanting to kill the last few pairs of my 35 profiles before I switch to 40 profile on the rear. at the moment there is no/little camber in the rear, and its a tad high, but camber and rear height are getting sorted out in the coming weeks so hopefully ill be able to confirm if the 10.5s can actually fit in the guards with some camber.
  6. to reply to your profile comment, specs are 19x10 +10 and 19x10.5 +23 the fronts fit great with 245/40/R19 tyres with rolled guards, but I have a lot of camber. the rears stick out the guards as I dont have camber kit in the rear yet. honestly I suggest you DON'T use my wheel specs, as there is a large chance it isnt the look you will want or are chasing.
  7. 10s will be lovely on these.. if not a tad in the guards ;P
  8. I dont notice much difference on the street between the hardest and softest settings, but on the track the difference between 4 values is noticeable
  9. oh sh*t. forgot about this. pretty much done. I think. lol been sidetracked with work/tafe so havent had much chance to get down to Ovaboost. new dash - AIM MXL Strada Motec wiring in final stages
  10. it should be fine. as the seat are made to angle anyways with the electric seats. providing the spacers arent greater than 5mm for example.
  11. I disconnect the battery then remove the seat. usually about 5mins from start to finish. never had an issue
  12. No synchros in first few gears - no mechanical sympathy not same same but close
  13. if the axle tramp doesnt knock the car out of gear then its F**kall
  14. oh gay :( sorry about that :( yeah man I wouldnt mind a decent skid video / hard launch one
  15. went to do skids, did skids, happy best was a 13.9 @ 102 but that's doing big skids, and on 245/35/R19s at 50psi stretched on 10.5" wide rims, so traction never was gonna happen. haha Breydy did a 13.3 in his FG XR6T (A6) in his first time in the car.
  16. if you havent bought the brakes yet, it might be easier to purchase BF brembos. save all that hassle. CHLAXN, are they ADR approved?
  17. ill be at the drags watching dean run 13s breydy, do a skid !
  18. as I thought it did. so I plated mine up. rather craply.. but its plated up. haha. it must be similar to the 6T cone shaped compressor piping - for noise suppression. Dyno junkie, is that snorkle the plated up one? how much would you want for just the snorkle, and could I grab a photo of the plated section (if it is the plated up one)
  19. what's this filter like object on my CAI/scoop ? factory FG XR part... it is some form of emissions/ sound muffler?
  20. yep. ill bring down 2x 245/35s with awesome tread for you down on saturday
