  1. run methanol. no cooler needed. suffocate any muppets driving behind you. win alround !
  2. NO they are a R comp track tyre, their sidewalls are stiff as f*ck. awesome for around the track (specially in wet conditions, they excel), but not the drags.
  3. LOL John lazybrennan, easier just to speak to XFT or MT ... the rest arent worth your time. they should be better priced
  4. ^ bingo. he ran the times. he put the money into the car to run the times. he could of chose a different car etc, but he chose this one. should be happy he's pushing the boundaries of the Barra in racing. (Errol's BA, like with Simon from Allfast's BA supercharged outlaws, both started as BA falcons, and still are... just with a lot of panel work.) too much tall poppy syndrome in australia :-/
  5. lol sorry to be the bearer of the bad news... I just went through this process myself, in saying that, I have a nice shiney FG F6 rear bumper now
  6. the FPV rear bumper is one piece, the insert is moulded into the bumper. the XR/G6 series/XT bumpers are two piece, with the insert being held in place with 5 screws. so to answer your question, no, it wont work
  7. if you are running slicks then dont worry about the width, too wide and it will slow you down. you want as much height in the tyre as possible, as when it crinkles up it "falls over itself and slaps the ground" leaving a huge footprint for grip
  8. lol they will fit... stores are on crack !
  9. we thought the coilpacks were internal igniting, turns out they arent. we connected a SR20 ignitor to the coils, and massive spark. so once we figured that out, I bought a M&W Pro-drag 6 unit :D
  10. on the car in photo.
  11. ovaboost did the wastegate positioning for me. no issues so far, holds 465rwkw at 25psi.
  12. works for me
  13. Brods, that was me, was getting a diff bush replaced. Tom, yes I did
  14. work emotion XT7's 18x9.5 +30 ... 265/35/R18 tyres front is 18x8.5 +25, but I fitted a rear on the front to see how it looked, and it looked good. my street rims are 19x10 +10 and 19x10.5 +23 benny, those are 275/40/R18 (might be 265 actually unsure) ET Streets (drag tyres) so actually a high sidewall compared to street tyres. with the regular tyre size, you will not have any clearance issues
  15. 275 should be fine, I used the 265s on track work, with the car at its lowest setting, (lower than in the above photo), and it didnt rub
  16. that will fit nicely. my track rims are those widths and offsets. with 265/40/R18 tyre (rear) with the 9.5" +30 on front and back, 275 tyres
  17. I run a FPV 19" rim (I believe its a copy), clears my front 6 pot and rear 4 pot brembos
  18. what about blueprint and phantom? .. my capri has both
  19. is this the last event for the season?
  20. 5,000rpm stall, flares to 5,500rpm ... rev limiter of 5,900rpm (will raise to 6500rpm later).. very safe tune to conserve stock motor
  21. its look good though fingers crossed the 106 helps nah im not :(
  22. I just made 465rwkw on factory BA coils. they work well
  23. RIP_HSV, the ute is looking good liking the fuel setup
  24. swing me a PM on AL now if you can (this forum is slower than AL on these oilrig computers) and ill fire all the info and details not interchangable, the FPV one is 1 piece, the XR is 2 piece. :(
  25. thommo, my painter removed them, sanded them smooth, painted them, then refitted them for $150+GST it's easier to let the painters do the hard work when it comes down to probably an $80 difference
