  1. 1) the car will get a complete thorough inspection as it has not been registered in WA before ... it wont be lenient. The pits have gone through a restructure due to dodgy places being halted, a lot of people had to get their cars re-examined due to this. They have "the hand of god" regarding if your car passes or not... best not to piss them off. 2) Laziness regarding tyres can mean laziness with other car issues.
  2. it is legal Peter, but put it this way .... new tyres shows to the inspector that the owner put effort and money into safe and roadworthy ... old tyres shows the "safest" avenue hasnt been taken, sure its legal, but what else has been shortcutted is what the inspector thinks.
  3. very nice of you ! I would say it would be a tad low for the pits ... ie: the inspection guys like seeing newish tyres, as it "shows" that the car is looked after / money spent on it / not skimped elsewhere... could be worth a try though, but then its another $70-90 for re-inspection if it fails
  4. Do the gold wheels you bought clear the brembos ? Try them?
  5. Any of you guys need any of this stuff ... I'll give better pricing for non randoms aka you guys
  6. Sending away to China to get made in bulk ? (Nothing wrong with that, they do top work) Or is it Aus based? I'm wondering due to chasing some dry carbon sheets in future
  7. WMMFGY(esterday) ... Rather than work on the Lagon I decided to do an extensive cleanup of my garage, even swept and vacuumed under the stricken Crapri ... Ended up finding my EGT setup, coilovers & billet battery tray .... See kids, cleaning pays off haha
  8. I'll give it some time to free up the valves.
  9. Luke & little Stu popping / bringing over some gearbox additive on this lovely Saturday morning helped me big time so that makes me feel good
  10. These are 17x9" +30 and 17x9.5" +15 ... Front is safe - rear pushing it
  11. They make 18" now too, may fill the arches better. Are you wanting to have flush setup on the guards? Or a safe non guard catching size?
  12. Wait until you know an ex-ford 2nd year apprentice who was fired (mainly) because he left a front caliper bolt out of a car -- on a customers. That has potential deadly results. He should never work on a car again.
  13. if you only want to make 350hp, then buy an extensively modified boss powered falcon
  14. as much as Luke loves interacting with some members on this forum haha
  15. part of my job includes writing and reviewing technical documents, and coming across procedures for the stupidest crap drives me insane that I have to waste my time on this sh*t. - how to use windex - how to restock a fridge with 600ml water bottles also, technical documents that put a procedure at 2 hours for a 10 minute job... mining boom needs some fat cut
  16. Odd size. ... Stud spacing Have to cut standard Gaskets to fit studs
  17. The flanges aren't traditional 3" though. Ford went silly.

  19. Oh didn't see that at first -- Phil pull it all off again and clean those washers as terminals being sparkling won't make jack difference if there is corrosion on the washers
