  1. Generally: Listen to this guy = having a running car Not listening to this guys advice = a car that remains broken
  2. I'm on a 4/3 roster (days not weeks), CAT1 so no bonus/uplifts/leave etc and we recently took a 13% paycut ... it's an easy job, just boring & not in the field I enjoy / have experience with, so, I'm quite happy to leave fifo and pursue the apprenticeship life in a field I enjoy
  3. perfect. that I can deal with. to clear my steering rack I have to run a FG sump (originally I had a cut n shut BA sump) ... so any sump mods after the oil pump is ok with me. cheers !
  4. this engine component list pleases me somewhat a lot. what part of the sump had to be modified for the 16mm girdle ?
  5. but some of the chartered flights are the non-wifi planes :(
  6. check the passenger side of the box ... the cable may need adjusting (little manual plastic adjustment) ... or it may be slightly coming off here is some examples http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/54223-crapri-drag-car/?p=1563492
  7. that is very true as well karl, how do the PTE's go? given you can only run 1 restrictor on them, wouldnt the oil filter be another restriction on them?
  8. I've donated here before, but I know there are people who are struggling at need all the support, and that is why I support single mothers. *tip*
  9. don't even need the braided line / filter ... as Luke told me -- bash out the OEM filter thing, and continue using a factory line -- IF you service your car well / on schedule. (probably want an engine in good condition, with no oil gunk built up inside it) I agree too, as it is all I ever did with my FD, 32, capri, etc
  10. MattyP - valve springs probably should be mentioned
  11. Not really suited to my OEM application, boost levels or intended use for the car. It originally came with the turbo BTR so I ran with it
  12. Yesterday Arvo, With the help of my cousin Blair (ex-ford mechanic, so it was bread & butter for him, we smashed it out super fast) the wagon had its BTR replaced (the Bailey's hi-stall replaced with an OEM convertor), new filter kit through it, and the rear main seal replaced while the transmission was out. During this, Luke (ralphy) popped over and adjusted the torque management parameters on the VCM Suite HP Tuners. It's nice to have progress on those little things that annoy you before freetime gets taken up with Xmas things
  13. 1) Fg turbo rails are a dime a dozen. Looking at like $50 when you find one 2) any b series hot side will still fit, and most of the cold side will fit. I used an elbow off the FG TB and then an alloy bend to the B series cooler kit piping at the passenger headlight. Boost sensor is on the FG TB elbow 3) unsure 4) Turbosmart is good. People who say it's bad are people who don't know how to set it up / preload it
  14. LOL I still cant believe John H (motorplex scrutineer) saw that photoshop and thought it was legit. haha f*cking brendan jones. haha
