  1. Thank you. Awesome info. Are permaseal and durapro ok brands for the gaskets ?
  2. Sorry jet, they were not "WB/10" grade & coffee was that weak tasting flavour that makes you think of over-milked tea that's going cool :'(
  3. Usually, hot muzz buzz chicks make average coffee, and the ugly ones make great coffee. But this one, she bucked the trend.
  4. Re: eczema, my missus gets it behind her ears. Since changing to a "vegan shampoo/conditioner", she has not had a flair up of it at all Believe it was called Ditch The Itch.
  5. We did it with axle stands, wonky bricks in driveway, fueled by subpar muzz buzz.
  6. We changed the flexplate today. Loose bolts only. Thank f*ck. No elongation of the crank holes. Greased up the steering rack whilst under there. Nb: really hate that venom cat/dump sealing flange
  7. mate went on VW night last week, he had 12 runs up to the point he called it a night at 845pm all depends on the hype of the night. if I was back in perth, I would have avoided last night, as all the plebs would be going yep that would be CMP selling the new ones on gumtree. but MT have stopped making the ET streets, so it would be New Old Stock they are selling, nothing wrong with that, but I would prefer the tyres to be cheaper as a result. VPW sell the new style of tyre for decent pricing
  8. AS1698 has been not allowed for a good 6-7 years now? Well aware, still have to do the medical and sent off new licence but don't really care for current ANDRA number retainment SS/BB 2308 ... Hell don't even know what's the Super sedan grouping now.
  9. re: helmets, ANDRA are a bit more forgiving (see below), but ANDRA does not reside at the plex anymore Andra rules 1) a helmet rating becomes "out of date" after 10 years - eg: Snell SA2005 is now expired as of 31/12/2015 2) you get one years worth of grace on an "out of date" helmet, eg: Snell SA2005 helmet has a grace period until 31/12/2016 3) if your 2005 rated helmet is made in 2009, it is now "out of date" as of 31/12/2019, and should have the one year grace. ie: with andra, it should be 10+1 years from the helmets date of manufacture. CAMS is not so lenient.
  10. pit inspectors put their foot down when testing a car. I see so many people get rustled jimmies going "they cant do that, it isn't their car, it's mine, I didn't give them permission to do that" babow motherf*ckers. that is how it is down. it is called a roadtest, not a put around the block
  11. a maintenance day would be sweet, but (1) I think most of us (usually) have done all the little mods and servicing ourselves, so that all is left are the big things, needing to be done at our own places (given the cars need to be "taken off the road"), (2) most of us struggle for free-time to work on our cars these days, so a whole maintenance day may be even harder to sort with a heap people.
  12. to be fair, they should have purge welded that .....
  13. Just good precaution to change them when running power to avoid cracking the plate. Too late for me. Box out next Sunday morning.
  14. All made the same. Just a reinforced centre. BTR ZF same same - Luke & Mick (ratter / pitlane) put my mind at ease when I received a ZF one Mine was $265 through pitlane
  15. So I've sourced some more parts for the wagon 1) Titanium flapper - (now for sale as un-needed $100 rrp $180) 2) ported rear housing w/ flapper mod 3) pit lane performance flexplate with ARP bolts 4) fan for the B&M super cooler (trans cooler) 5) built BTR from AC Automatics Capri got a new turbo oil supply line
  16. Common rule of thumb for pits --- new Tyres = the vehicle owner has spent money to get roadworthy ... Old Tyres = shortcuts have been taken
  17. which is a shame, because given it is a Ford, it will show up the faults for free
  18. I'd say the other way around is (only just) safer
  19. have you tried turning it off and on again?
  20. I'll be happy with 600kw ... The old junk T51 made 511kw at 28psi ... Glide / stall / 9" / 31x13 R15 slicks suck up power though
  21. - yes - not able to give back to back answer - used FG shield but maybe could modify BA BF one ? - need to run FG dump as BA BF fouls on block (it's longer) FG drain lines would be mint. Supply lines are larger diameter so braided lines for supply makes it easier Turbo position is between 3/4 cyl - Ba BF is between 2/3 cyl So piping may have to be stretched
