  1. Hey all Put me down as a maybey, stuck in Dysart doin a shutdown but ment to fly home on friday before cruise. So PM were to meet please and I will try an get uhf by then too. Cheers all
  2. Go Elite they fixed all my issues with my car. Lol Run from hi tourqe they said I had 600hp at wheel like if I had 350hp, car always stalled splutter was a horrible tune and they stuff u around alot tell you one week then 3 weeks latter car still not ready. I am surprised you got a refund I hit them up for the refund on the tune and they wanted to have a look at the car and I didnt want them to touch it ever again. GO elite Trust me. I have tryed 4 others tuners as well and all others didn't work properly.
  3. Cheers for the advice mate, that's the sorta things I was looking for, I am not trying to turn intercooler companys against each other just I am chasing the big power and want the best cooler for job and if I can save a few bux to through at some other part on my ute why not. Already putting money aside for my diff and gearbox for when they go bang
  4. With the power I am chasing I was hoping to get it on 98 octane fuel and I am not sure what fuel the other lads are running to get those power reading becuase from my understanding due to having a smaller intercooler once you go past 22pound on my engine the heat on the I think it is the manifold or turbo system becomes to great that you actually start to loose power because the air is getting heated up so the oxygen in the engine isn't as compressed therefore creating a smaller explosiion. Don't qwote me but that's how I understand it. So if you get a larger intercooler you will keep manifold temperatures down there for being able to through in more boost. Plust 30rwks is a pretty good gain once you start hitting the higher power levels even the lower power levels that is a good gain becuase the difference in power will be easily noticed. From what elite was telling me if I use e85 fuel or race fuel I will get the power I was chasing easily with the setup I have becuase they will be able to through in more boost and timing but I was hoping to get it on 98 octane. that's why I am chasing the larger cooler. I would be keen if there was a bulk buy on one of the intercooler choices so you can count me in.
  5. Hey Mate I have a spare ba mk 2 turbo engine sitting at my place its the old one out of my ute before I put the built engine in. It has 45000ks if that on the matter, already has the valve springs and lightend pully drive on the crank. PM if interested
  6. I currently have 461kw atw and Elite was telling me that due to cooler I won't get much more out of it but if I through the larger one on I should be able to push my boost upto 490kw atw the hopefully. So that why I was just curious that's all ths will be my 3rd intercooler and I want to make sure I get the right one for the job.
  7. Heya all Got a small query looking to upgrade my stage 2 process west intercooler to a stage 3 1000hp intercooler and I am stuck between the process west version and plazmaman only cause of the price cause the difference is close to a grand. I was just wondering what the difference is between the two in which applicaions cause I don't mind paying for quality but at the same time if I can get the equivalant for less I can use that money on tuning and race fuel So the lads out there who have the Plazmaman or the process west let me know what yas recon or if u have tryed both your input would be appreciated.
  8. Haha Yeah I thought had done the research and if u knew the people I had tryed youd think they would have done the right thing, but no need for naming and shaming I guess even though it costs me lots of dosh. Put it this way got told I had 600hp and had less than 350hp by one tuner with the t51r set up, the other one didn't even touch car sat there for 2 weeks, another one left the flap of the turbo so boost was all over the place once it went over 13 pound boost so yeah I have had my bad experiences, but now there is light at the end of the tunnel and I am as happy as a pig in sh!t
  9. Haha I wish I found them at the start two.......Have so many parts just lying around. spare engine at home the original from car 45000ks on it with all upgraded valve springs and lighten pully drive wheel lol the big black wheel on the crank.......Spare clutch which would burn out if I used on this setup, Spare intercooler and stanless pipes for cooler, larger front housing and waste gate left over from my old turbo, 60lb injecters and the list goes on. So yeah wish I had found Elite at the start of my lil project not the end of it might have saved me a small fortune or I could have spent the money on another ford hehe. But seriously if your doin some serious upgrades and try to go the cheap way out to save a few hundred dollars on parts and this and that but want to go big just go big don't stuff around cause as I found out u spend more in the long run by being a tight arse looking for cheap deals rather than quality deals. Plus I got the HP bug
  10. Hey all Just curious I currently have a T51r on my ute producing 461kw atw and Elite inform me I need a Larger cooler 1000hp so I can through in some more boost and I might get around 490kw atw with my current turbo on 98 fuel.......If I was to go for a larger turbo what size do you recon would produce some serious power over the 500kw mark easily posibly around the 550kw mark comfortably.
  11. Hey all Picture of my dyno Tune is attached hopefully it works. I will try to get some photos of the ute up too. Mods So far: Built Engine (By my mate Gave) Internals are - stronger rods, pistons, ported and pollished head, bearings Atomic valve springs, Stage 2 atomic cams and a few other things which I can't remeber or probs dont understand T51r Turbo and waste gate Stage 2 intercooler and Plenum Process west, looking to upgrade to stage 3 cooler hoping to hit 490kw atw on 98 fuel Battery Relocation Upgraded Fuel pumps 2 x 505 Bosch pumps I think Surge Tank Process west Upgraded Fuel rail 6boost Manifold Either a double or tripple plate clutch (can't remeber but should hold the power ), which was balanced with the engine when the engine was balanced Plus the typical 3.5 inch exhaust with duels on the back Can't wait for next powerplay or cruise Thnx to Elite
  12. Hey all I finally made it to the 400kw Club After atleast 10tunes I finally have one that works and works well. Thnx to Elite Automotive. All other tuners (gold coast, bayside, yatala) I used had the car for days and couldn't give me what I was after so if anyone out there is looking to go big on Horse Power and wants a tune that works and incoporates after market cams, gives you good fuel milage (500ks to a tank I get) and drivability dont go past Elite. To give you an idea on my dramas if you have aftermarket cams or planning on buying a set I found elite were the only ones who could get my car tuned properly with my cams, everyone elese said take them out or promise you the world and when I got the car back all it did was stall, stink of fuel, cover the back of my car in unburnt fuel and produce bugger all power. So learn from my mistakes trust me its cost my pocket probs in excess of 7gs in tunes atleast. I will be able get out to some cruise days now since the car is finally drivable again. Woot Woot
  13. Hey Luke Thnx for the info I will have a look into that area first, before spending big, bloody throttle bodies are expensive for what they are...... Cheers Phill
  14. I bought a NA taxi engine and turned it into a 1000hp strong engine, from all the research I did only difference between na and turbo engine is RODS Pistons Valve springs exhaust valves (dearest part and hardest to find) Picked up a na Ba engine $500 and basically bought all the internals I required and built it from there.......the crank, block and everything else was sweet. Even the oil return was sweet on the sump only difference between turbo and na sump was the turbo return was there just not drilled out so we just drilled out the oil return for the turbo easy as....but if u can buy a cheap turbo engine I would makes the process a lil easier, when it comes to the head and cams, unless u plan on porting your head (I did cost small fortune) and buy after market cams.
  15. Hey all I have just had an engine built for my ute and the engine builder who built it said you should never idle your engine for to long due to your doing damage that's why turbo timers are a bad idea, reason being if I understand it correctly, when your car idles everything is loose inside, the bearing etc which means they are not under load which reduces the life of your engine.......when I had the new engine put in I was told to drive it like I would drive any vehicle due to your running the engine in the way u drive it, none of this hold it at certain speeds or gears nonsense. So far car has been running sweet no dramas, and will hopfully this month have the finall tuning done with max boost etc (not tuned to max due to dyno braking).
