    Wait, you're running all that extra boost on standard injectors????? It is very surprising it lived this long. It'll be super lean and probably pinging its head off. Or maybe you've been lucky as hell and have a boost leak that saved the motor. Who told you this was a good idea?

    247 thousand? That is a lot. The tuner is well within his rights to turn down the work if he's not confident the car will last. Saves you dollars and him a bad rep when the car goes bang and he inevitably gets blamed for an old, worn engine failing.

    I think those spark plugs have a gap of 1.1mm.... needs to be taken down to .8mm at most. I put these in my car recently, forgot to gap them because I'm dumb like that. Regapped them to .8 the next day and all good.

    My Ba did this when the throttle position sensor was on its way out. It would be fine, then just random lose power before shutting down (same as yours, regardless of driving condition/idle). Then it would be a bitch to restart but once it did it'd be fine again for a while. Just something else to note is eventually it just won't start again. Hope that helps!

    For those prices buy both. I have a 05 turbo and a 08 turbo ute. The 08 is heaps smoother on the road and a just nicer inside. Both awesome cars though I doubt you'll be dissapointed with either.

    ^Because, in general, people want cars that will get them fro A to B as cheaply as possibly. Fun need not apply.

    As long as your at TDC and the two cam marks are at 12 o'clock your all good. The coloured chain links are only for inital set up and don't matter in your case.

    The el cheapo will be useless. And you'll put up with it because it was el cheapo. If the expensive one turns out poo you'd properly beat the seller over the head with it until it's fixed. At the end of the day you get what you pay for. Rember you can have two of three things: Fast & cheap - but it won't be reliable Fast & reliable - but it won't be cheap Cheap & reliable - but it won't be fast You choose.

    Will still be a while until they get that cheap. A 10k xr6t is still a long stretch fro your 2-3k vn commo.

    Sorry, that info is for a b series car. Might be the same for f series, might not. But I'm sure if you do a bit of probing back there you'll find one.

    Pin 15 in the 20 pin plug on the back of the instrument cluster. It's a red/green wire, works a treat.

    Strange my invo's are treadwear 220? Anyone know why the same tyres might have a different wear rating? Mine are 275/30 if size makes a differance.

    Compressor surge doesn't shorten the life of a turbo? In that case the guy who invented the bov to prevent it pulled a sweet scam and made a butload of money off it. If only you where around to save us from this folly. Now to try and be helpful, normally if you work on a car then something is wrong afterwards it's something you did. Recheck your work, make sure all electrical plugs are reconected, any vacuum hoses and stuff like that.

    I like this shape. Better than the new one which just today I thought was a Mazda 323 until I got closer. Seriously I think it is the only shape that you can't immeadiantly point out something that looks stupid. Congratz on the new ride, 190kw should be quick in that.

    even 30K, considering it's a typo, seems overpriced for a 02 ba with 149K on the clock.

    Falken FK452 rated half a point less than the Goodyears in a out of 100 rating recently, but are $100 a tyre cheaper. Dunlops where three or four further down the list and also the most expensive. In reality, if I were to bin the car, it would be because of a stupid mistake on my part and not a half point in tyre rating so the $100 a tyre saving won out for me.

    First off it's a nice and comfortable rock. Second, you don't need credentials to point out people are acting like clowns, just common sense. I am all for this and bev's car, why else do you think I pointed out the thread should get back to the car and away from the bs? Regardless someone will take this the wrong way, as is the theme throughout this thread, with seven different people thinking every comment is about them, and the flame war will continue unabaited.     Then again you come into the thread to read about the car, scroll through two pages of women making snide little coments at eachother that has appear in 24 hours and no updates on the car. Annoying really.
