Hi Fellers, Anyone had this issue before, when the car is cold, normally when I start it up I don't even put it in gear until I see the temp gauge move but recently when I select drive the car has this odd vibration cannot feel it in reverse or park but after the car has been driving for a little bit the car is smooth as For some reason when I did the oil change I used a different oil was full synthetic I've always used mineral oil Thanks Guys

Nah cars all standard - going to check it all out, earth sounds like that could be the problem one thing is it's really noisy through the radio I can hear the whine

Hi All, Can anyone tell me where the engine coolant temperature switch is located on a bfii xr6turbo presuming this is whats causing my thermo fans to stop working randomly they working fine for maybe 1 or 2 months without fault and then suddenly they do not operate properly, I can hear them on low speed only but never goto high speed and yep the car heats up and begins to get hotter then normal Help!!! Daniel

Hey fellers, Has anyone done or thought about raspberry pi for the carpc I'm wanting to know if it's possible to use in a BF falcon with premo color icc I've most of the stuff needed from previous projects such as 1 - Touch screen overlay + drivers 2 - 2 spare color icc units incase I damage 1 3 - raspberry pi 4 - Centrafuze for windows but not android other OS's I'm missing something to convert HDMI to what ever that falcon screen uses composite I think - Dan

I don't know how to tell if the HIM module is stuffed, if anything I can still hear the blend door motors swapping over from hot to cold and vice versa air con compressor kicks over, I haven't hooked 12v up to the cabin fan as of yet as I think there is no point as no power is at the main power for it

Fellers, Today my cabin fan stopped working it has been replaced before but that's not the issues over the course of months my mate lost him license so I've offered to drive him around as a good friend does, anyway as he sits in the passengers seat he tends to kick the cable for the cabin A/C fan well today those 2 wires shorted out and something went pop with some smoke coming from the very left hand side of the passengers what looked like near the passengers side airbag, I've got those wires and there is no power according to the multimeter any ideas is there a fuse somewhere????? Help would be grateful Regards Daniel

Guys I know there is heaps of topics about E85 but I'm asking couple of questions <p> I'm not worried about the octane level or how you need to use twice as much to run it <p> but how do I get my falcon to run with E85 we only just got this in Perth few weeks back yay!! <p> so the falcon of mine is a 2007 BF series 2 xr6 turbo but wait the engine is in fact a 2010 fg xr6 turbo motor I put about 20 litres in yesterday when my tank was pretty much sucking air and about 5 kms down the road I wacked out the iPhone and read the engine code and I was getting system lean bank 1 so I immediately went back to the servo and filled the rest up the 98 fuel and cleared the engine code and don't have the warning anymore but the car runs sooooooo nice

Fellers me again ok another issue that's got me stumped maybe you can all help this I've noticed a weird vibration down the drive train maybe could be coming from anywhere but when I accelerate mostly lower speeds I think and between 2500 and 3000 rpm I feel a vibrations now a few years ago I felt maybe the same or similar vibration not sure if it was doing the same thing but end result the diff exploded yes gears exited the diff on the Mitchell fwy in Perth I'm just hoping it's not the same jobs recently done on the car 1 - New diff bushes x3 2 - replaced control arm bushes 3 - got the rear rotors skimmed 4 - replaced the center tail shaft bearing 5 - replaced the master cylinder 6 - installed new/second hand gearbox with approx. 35,000kms - 6speed zf 7 - new drivers seatbelt 8 - car went through minor repairs to front end after a roo was driving dangerously on the wrong side of the road (insurance) 9 - 4 wheel alignment (insurance) 10 - New steering rack bushes (insurance) 11 - left hand side engine mount (Friday) just gone 12 - car has officially ticked over to 300,000kms p.s I've got a camera steering wheel mount

mate I've just done my master cylinder now if the car has DSC and TRACTION CONTROL - you'll need to purchase the B227-114 that's the master cylinder and if the car just has ABS you'll need to purchase the B227-109

alright cheers for the advice tried it all no luck so I stripped apart the master cylinder surely enough the rear brake piston seal is stuffed, we purchased a new one but was the wrong one ahhh..... so does anyone is Perth have the B227-114 it has the DSC and traction control completely different to the B227-109

Anyway I know you guys hate me already but Car: 2007 BF series 2 Falcon xr6 turbo Color: White - Because that helps how the car brakes I.e red cars need bigger brakes due to the fastness nah... anyway. I had the rear rotors skimmed brakes worked fine then, we had the calipers off the car and someone unknownly pumped the brakes popped the pistons out so I opened the bleeder up and pushed them back in surely enough the brakes went soft and few days later I got mates around and we bled the brakes as he was pumping I asked him to hold the brakes in place I opened the bleeder before I started to close them he started pumping them again, stopped right away. Tonight the brakes really started to piss me off so jacked the car up we started the pump the brakes I opened the bleeder and no fluid exited the bleeder and now the brakes hardly work WHATTT?????????? HELP please Regards Daniel

Thanks for all the help all fixed now, a big thanks also goes to Midway ford in Midland they took on the job and Mark from midway ford great. they fixed all the bushes including center and the outriggers, sealed the diff leak and flushed the diff put new LS additive, replaced upper and lower control arm bushes, 4 wheel alignment, steering rack bushes, lower front ball joints, tie rod ends all for $1100 had the car for 5 hours

Just a random topic But I've got the series 2 bf xr6 turbo roughly oct 07 build my kms is about 1000kms off 300,000km is there anyone out there that's achieved this milestone yet

I'm ringing around to get quotes for future refs, this quote which was the cheapest was Midways but ill try midland autos, I'm sure they do a good job the problem is the cars gotta have such a low downtime. But the work that needs to be down which is included in the price is ofcourse 1, Remove and Refit new diff bushes - I'm supplying superpro centre bush and ford supply the standard outter bushes, I want a mix of poly and rubber 2, Re-seal my new diff after it was installed incorrectly by NUFORD WANGARA since been installed nov 11 3, Replace the lower control arm bushes both sides 4, Replace left hand tie rod arm and end 5, Check the upper right hand side ball joint for the suspension p.s. Car was purchased on Jan 08 with 5000kms on the dial @ $30895 outright from Nuford Wangara Year to date of 2/5/2013 I'm sitting on 295,224kms, I noticed that I put 299,000kms on the first post which is incorrect car performs very well but then again it has the FG xr6 turbo engine in it that was installed by me in March 2012

I did just do a Tranny swap also did an engine swap last year, I see where you are going with this and mostly its time I'm very short of at the moment, now today just got a quote and booked in to do them at Midway Ford in midland I supply the parts and they do the work in 4 hours for $780
