Muzzza, The DVD player and STB are sort of unrelated. People who have got the DVD I assume would also have the blau multi signal converting thingo. This allows you to plug teh DVD player into the ICC. I assume also the the Blau DVD player is a PAL device or doesnt output NTSC RGB signal. So I just got off teh phone with Max power regarding his questions as well and think it is wise to add the following in brief. 1. STB needs to be able to provide a NTSC RGB signal. If it cant do this then it wont work if you want to plug straight into the Ford ICC LCD screen. 2. If you have the Blau signal box then any STB will run into the blau unit. as long as it meets the point 3 rule. 3. The STB needs to have power the TEAC DV-B400 runs on 12V but if you want to use one that doesnt then no big problem you just need to also get a power invertor to provide 240V in your car. This also adds to cost but its your money. 4. Antenna - this is where we are all currently experimenting. I am using a VHF vertical whip that I use for my amatuer radio. It is working very well an I also intend on placing a signal amplifier in there as well when I get around to it. But you can read here what others have done etc. So that's it. Not much is known about other STB's as we dont have them. I have the DV-B400 and it works plugging it into the ICC directly. If you wanna try something else then it is You who is tryign it as long as it meets all the points 1 - 3 then it will work. Hope this answers more questions than it generates. Wayne

OK so this is a question from a turbo dumbass So why did you choose to use teh T's turbo in your beast? Scruff
-
ummm so where is the rest of teh engine or did you just obtain teh turbo itself? Scruff

OK easy thing to explain right here. Use hand pressure to lift up the plastic surround around the shifter. LIft the drink holder lid to allow hand in. Remove the screw on either side of shift to remove the two side panels. Two screws hold the tissue box holder in. that's it. Wayne

Ratt, I am at liverpool area. Prestons to be exact. OK ALL The curcuit that was published by xlnt6 to allow the remote switching of the LCD screen has a slight error. The transistor to use is a BC547 not a BC557. The 557 is a PNP device and not an NPN as required for those who care. Anyways I made the curcuit spent a whole day trying to figure this out. Learned enough about what I was doing again which I will now duely forget. Changing this one component does the trick. Scruffman

Robin so what is that antenna you are using and how good does it work. I am currently using two different types of vertical antenna on my car. One is through glass and the other is a standard boot mounting type. I have been mucking around with these antenna and they are tuned for UHF as well. I am going to be trying a VHF whip on it when I get around to it. I am in the process of making your little vera board curcuit at this time so I can move my unit to the boot as well. The picture I get is clear most of the time even when the car is moving only probem when mobile is the damn high pitch sound cracking as the reception drops slightly. Scruff

OK first thing. You need to have a null modem cable. There is plenty of diagrams for these on the net. Dick smith dont sell these off the shelf so you ened to probably buy the parts. A bit of multicore cable. Two plugs and a bit of time to make it. There is instructions of how to do the programming of the box on the teac website but I think from memory you have the box turned off and pluged in. Start the software on the PC. Load up the image you want to download. Turn on teh box. It should start the download automatically and tell you when its done. Yes your box will work inside if you have an NTSC compatible tv. Or you could just keep changing it back between PAL and NTSC if you wish. Scruff

OK people, I was able to track down a DV-B400 from teh good guys at Penrith ( last one ) I have made up teh cables as described in this thread and hooked it up and all is going well. I have tried a Magnavox omni-directional antenna with not much reception luck. I have today hooked up my UHF antenna ( vertical whip type ) and the standing still results are very good from intitial view while standing still. Will test and see how it goes. Scruffman OH the box cost me $200 and the plugs etc would be no more than $20 plus about 2 horus of your time. Looks great I must say, now for teh DVD player ( Xbox ).

Two weekends ago I was driving how ona rainy night. When I went through the new orbital construction area I hit a huge pothole. Short story is that I drove for a week and though well that isnt that bad there is onyl small shake that I need to get a balance done when I get chance. End is that both left hand wheels are very badly buckled. So my story is that maybe you did hit a pothole to buckle the wheels adn then these other faults come for that. THese wheels are Extremely soft on this car and the damage to the rims is very easily seen by the flat spot on teh rim. And yes I am driving it like this to Tassie Tomorow morning Scruffman

A mate I work with here has a stock standard XR6T Manual. He run a 13.9 somthing on it at WSID I can get a copy of the time sheet and post it if you want. My mate is a drag racer with other cars as well and actually knows how to drive his car to go fast. I always have a little chuckle to myself when I see people with phase 1 and it aint crackign 13's yet. The car probably can do it its jsut the driver holding it back. Oh well that's my $0.02 worth. I am running it on all my PC' sand it is a great help. so get it and put it on your puters. hopefully sly is now all fixed up. Or at least knows how to look more himself next time when he cant get ont eh net and ask for help. Scruffy
