So when will a decision be made mate? Im kinda thinking remove the bad karma. Youve put lots in and only come out bruised and battered. Id look at another car, upgrade the minimal to get the power you need and be happy. Hopefully whatever the outcome, you get your desired result.
Love the F6's very nice. And white just looks so classy. Do you have dyno sheets, id love to see how that turbo puts its power down mate. Great results.
I waz more trying to find an answer to the gtx76 vs the gt82 from the f6's. Those would be my main options. Not sure id use the gtx82r power.... yet hahaha
I was looking at my next upgrade, being a turbo, my tuner recommended going to an F6 turbo over the gtx76. He said, dollar for dollar, its not worth it as it will get me similar power. He said if I want more (dyno results wise) I may as well go the gtx82r ?? He is a reputable tuner, but is this a reasonable assumption ?
Awesome guy to deal with. Loads of information and happy to share it with you. Def worth a 6 hour trip for me (including stops for the kids and wife ) I know ill be back to see dave for my next upgrades for sure.
Pretty happy with the results. Id have loved a little more(purely cos higher numbers look cool) but the turbo was running out of puff. Still a good result and nice torque. Drives nice. Can't wait to give her a good squirt somewhere, on a private road of course. Next round of mods will be upgrade turbo, fuel pump and most likely *possibly very next mod* turbo side intake and battery relocation
That will be with next upgrade. Probably just go a surge tank then. He said it could use it but this pump should be ok for the power I will make. But I can make the call on wednesday morning if I decide to go ahead with it now. He carries basically all the stuff at his place for most the upgrades the average guy chases
Will do barnz, I've given it a little but not being silly or anything. Its getting stage 2 process west I/cooler & piping kit, 1000 cc injectors, some airbox mod? And a 12lb actuator plus being dyno'd and tunes onto the xcal4. Later id love to go better turbo and a bit more power but this should get me close to maxing out the current turbo . I was offered the oil feed pipe changeout but I will do that when I upgrade the turbo and anything else it will need then. (Clutch , tailshaft, possible battery relocation and turbo side inlet).. but that's a down the track thing.
Exhaust is done. Cat back 2x 2.5" xforce. Also had a high flow cat installed for my trip to mackay tomorrow. cpv here we come. Oh and so far, no cel's on the dash.
Spoken to some tuners and I think im gonna book in with CPV in Mackay. its a bit of a drive but slightly closer than Brisbane. Ive heard great things about him so hopefully I get a nice result (until I can afford a better turbo *evil grin* ) Ive also ordered a cat back twin 2 1/2" exhaust for a little volume. Cant wait to get that sorted. Saving now and waiting for my bonus so I can get that work done on the car. My list can then start shrinking.... maybe haha
Looks like I may be using David at CPV in Mackay. He seems pretty decent so far and all reports are good from everyone else. basically im halfway between him and bris, so im close to making the call and booking the beast in.
