  7. I think it may have more to do with what gear the car was in when it was tested. To get the most accurate results the car should be in a 1:1 gear (4th in ours?) and then the total torque divided by the diff ratio to get an idea of what is happening at the flywheel. It's all got to do with gear ratios - every time the torque goes through a set of gears (torque converter included for autos) the torque gets multiplied by that ratio (ie - flywheel x torque converter ratio x gear ratio x diff ratio / wheel circumference). that's where say 300Nm at the engine can become over 1000Nm at the wheels. Put smaller wheels on if you want more torque lol
  8. hey guys I'm running rda dimpled and slotted rotors and ebc red stuff pads all round. I dont drive like an idiot but do enjoy giving it a bit when I find some twisty roads. I have found the rda rotors to be fine, no warping whatsoever. they are a bit noisy and you can hear the air rushing through the slots when you aren't braking. the red stuff pads are pretty good once you've warmed them up. previous to this my car had the standard slotted rotors and bendix ultimates, both well worn out thanks to the nsw police force. new combo outperformes the old by miles, once warmed up. my theory is, cheap brakes will be fine, as long as you dont ask too much from them. cheers, chris
  9. Wow I can't get over the fact that this thread is ten years old! Anyway, I'm a train driver. 31 yo. Currently driving 07 BFII XR6T, no longer stock as a rock! :D Cheers, Chris
  10. check out Manta Pro | Performance Exhausts Perth » BA-BF XR6 TURBO 4.0L sdn 3″ dual exhaust. 4″ dump off TURBO into 3″ dual cheers, chris
  11. G'day guys I'll be in for some 60lb injectors for my BFII. Also, check out turbotrana's lithium battery - $300 and about 1/4 the size and weight of a normal lead acid battery. Cheers, Chris
  12. G'day Bionic I have a Uniden UH015SX which is a remote face 40 channel UHF with built in scanner. The face would be about 100mm x 20mm x 15mm. I used it on my motorbike with the main unit mounted under the seat and the face up on the handlebars. With the matching 6db antenna it worked a treat and gave a good range up to about 5kms depending on the landscape. Check out www.ryda.com I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else. Cheers, Chris
  13. G'day Turbotrana Very interested! I actually watched your youtube uploads and was quite impressed. As our turbo engines have relatively low compression I wouldn't expect the current draw to be too high. Be sure to let us know when you have the group buy ready! Cheers, Chris
  14. g'day rusty when you say the centre console is designed to allow liquids to drain out - where does it drain to? is there a hole in the body somewhere or does it just dribble all over the carpet? cheers chris
