Mate it was always the after sales service .What annoyed me the most was having to take my car on a round trip of over 4 hours to have it properly fixed is what sh*t's me.I work for myself and spending so much time running around trying to fix a new car just cracks me especially when your going back 2 or 3 times for the same problem.Taking my car to peter warrens was the best thing I did.Hopefully my problems are over or otherwise I can see myself buying a different make.Fingers crossed my luck has changed.Cheers Nick

hey guys from sydney do you want to meet up before hand somewhere and drive to the coast together?

guys I,m HAPPY, peter warren smithfield sorted it all out.Jason was really helpful and kept me up todate with the repairs from the moment I dropped it off.Well what can I say my car drives like the day I bought it.All the repairs done, I also asked for a wheel alignment and wheel balance with the diff bush being replaced you can feel how tight everything is again.Off to the panel beaters on monday and it's done. Guys cherish your licence have been walking and riding my push bike to work for the last 4 days,made me think we take our drivers licence for granted would hate to do this for 3-6 months.Been stuck at home and life really dose change with out a vehicle or licence.guys take it easy on the roads you really don't want the inconvenience of losing your licence brings.Try it for those who drive to work try getting to and fro from work for 2 days in a row without your vehicle,alot harder than you think.stay safe .cheers nick

hi buddy I had one of them great car the AE95 corolla ,I found that if you fit a auto meter monster tacho your fuel consumption improves.The old days when driving along switching the car off pumping the accelerator 5 or 6 times then switching it back on.The flames from the back of the exhaust were a real head turner use to tell everyone it was the turbo cooling down.Cheers Nick

mate thank you, for a while I thought I was the problem.The owner said to me after serveral complaints to him about his workshop ,nick as long as you buy your cars from here you can take it anywhere you want for service,thought that was a bit odd.Know a few guys in the shop most have been banned from driving customers cars they give them heaps.

jason or james the funny thing was ford australia rang me the moment he put in on the hoist and he over heard the conversation. About the cruise fingers crossed still has to go to the panel shop ,all going well should have it back by the 22nd.

Thought I give you all a bit of an up date,told my dealer(Dale Ford) to stick it up his arse and you wouldn't know how to find a root in a brothel.So made a few calls and ended up taking my car to peter warren smithfield,dropped it off yesterday so far so good,asked for a phone call today and got it,step in the right direction.It's there because of timing cover/sump leak ,diff leak,broken glovebox,1500km service and some bush in the centre of the diff.They have probably the best set up I have seen in a dealership,the guy was more than helpful ,the moment I arrived my car was up on the hoist and he was checking it,he was the one that actually found the diff bush.Funny that been telling dale ford the rear end or diff dosn't feel right,one of the guys from dale ford took it for a drive and said that's not to bad seen worse there all like that.The bush is rooted bits of rubber hanging all over the place. My relationship with dale ford is over they were trying to charge me $44.00 a day for a loan car and $2000.00 excess if something went wrong.I said that's not a bad business $44.00 a day and $2000.00 excess you got to be joking,so at the worst case scenario you blokes are fixing your f*ck ups and it could cost me $2500.00 f*ck that.I can put a covernote on the loan car with my insurance policy,don't know if you can do that mate,well the point is mate if I give you a covernote your car is covered and really that's all that matters mate.He walks away to speak to his manger and comes back and tell's me as long as we have the paper work by friday(about 4 days before the car is needed).So I take some of the loan car details and drive back to work thinking I've taken all the loan car details.The following day I ring the dealer telling him I need some more details.Dealer I will ring you back never got the phone call.Rang the owner gave him the top line . I have a really good feel about my car finally losing its lemon tag and becoming an orange.Cheers Nick

My brother owns a VE ss ute it has been back a few times, waiting for the clutch to go at any moment,his wifes subaru is a pile of crap.My FG has had it's fare share of problems.In the dealers as we speak.Thought about selling the FG and looked around to replace it with something else.Well what do you replace it with.I need a large car as I travel interstate abit,what else is out there.Don't want a 4WD, so really in that price range you don't have a choice really its Expensive Daewoo or ford. If my ford didn't have the kick arse performance that they have,it would of been long gone by now.So I think you really have no choice if your looking for a large better than average looking ,performance car at around the 50k price tag Ford is the way. Looking at my brothers VE SS the only thing that I like about the car is the glove box,huge it's even got a shelf in it.In every other way I think the falcon is the better car and that coming from someone who has had more issues with their falcon than anyone else at the dealership.Cheers Nick
