  2. lol, I would be taking it somewhere else, if one coil was bad seems probable that another might be suss as well. By the sounds of it you know what it was like when the coil went last time and if it is similar then that's where I would start looking. I would look at taking it to elite or bps just a thought but I would replace the coil packs anyways, $145 for a set on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-BA-BF-IGNITION...1742.m153.l1262 can give you a hand if you are on the sunny coast, can change over the plugs in my FG in 30 minutes now
  3. Yeh mate I ended up staying at the cleveland motor inn. $95 and they let me check in at 6am and out at 10:30am the next day for the price of one night. I am happy with the power output as it was on the 10th run we hit that mark and heat was getting up, with cooler air temps prolly would have got around the 320 mark, better to run a lower psi than risk doing damage leaning it out up high as that's how I put holes through the pistons of my R33 skyline (fuel pump shat itself when I was racing someone)
  4. how long ago was it tuned? check the plugs maybe (there is a thread on the website on how to) and have a good look over all your piping to make sure nothing is loose and that all electrical connections are on properly. dont know how much work is done to your car though... you have standard injectors and fuel pump still? might be worth checking the fuel filter too as it might be blocked and not letting enuf fuel through after 3000rpm, or fuel pump, wot you think senna?
  5. Yeh I will be doing more mods for sure, just gotta save some more cash up. do the rest of the exhaust and hotside piping for sure. I couldnt run 16psi as my injectors hit their limit and started to lean out the air/fuel ratio too much up high so dropped it to 13psi.

  8. havent you got a flash tuner? or is it one of the older ones? I gots the x-cal2 one and can put it back to factory as well as read any fault codes that come up and erase them
  9. RFLMAO! nice work improving the Expensive Daewoo dealers jamie. I wanted to keep cruising but had to high tail it home from coolum to call the other half. Cheers again tab, was a fun day for my first ever cruise and message me if you are coming down this way for a cruise vixen would be good if people with some good photos of the day started another post maybe so we can add to our collection
  10. Hi Typhoon, have you tryed going back to factory tune to see if it still makes the noise? at least that way you can eliminate or confirm that its some factor of the custom tune.

  12. mmm, 333rwkw is a lot more. I was at the limit of my injectors as it was cause it started leaning out up top so we backed it off a little. I wonder wot the ambient temperatures were when he did his dyno run? air temps were 32 degrees the day I did mine

  19. yeh but I think there is something wrong with my tyres, cant seem to stop them spinning till I hit 3rd gear. could have got more but that's the limit of my injectors, had to back the boost off to 13 pound or so cause it was leaning out at the top end too much whats the best bang for buck mod next is the question. will try and get a photo of my dump pipe, its filth work by exhaust innovations, well worth the drive from the sunny coast

  21. yeh jetute I think you must have hit a nerve mate, I thought everything you said was quite fair. there is always going to be that small percentage of police out there just to"flex their authority" when they can and if you think that's wrong you are dreaming Iconic. I was the victim of a home invasion a while ago and all the police kept going back to was "you sure this isnt a drug related attack" and basically accusing me of doing something to provoke it. "people dont just do this for no reason" they said, yeh, like nutters dont murder for no reason. *as a follow up after this I started going to gym and 6 months later some f*$ker tred to steal my car from my driveway while I was home, worse mistake he ever made,lol
  22. Hi guys, finally got my FPV F6 tuned by the guys at BPS at cleveland. pushed out a respectable 280rwkw stock with dump pipe and cat and 309.5rwkw after the tune the X-cal 2 and custom tune cost me $1290 which is way cheaper than anywhere else in Brizzy for the same product
  23. I see wot you are saying about the velocity of the air going through the pipes not picking up the heat but wot about everywhere else it goes? I used to have a digi temperature guage in my engine bay for that reason, and after a bit of fast driving then coming to a set of lights the temps would rise in/around my airbox from 30 degrees to 70+ degrees and it would soak into the airbox and surrounding metals etc. wouldnt this hot air have a negative effect getting sucked into the intake?
  24. no, not all of us are being wankers, you asked a question like how long is a piece of string? you are the only one who can really answer your question as you need to look at the rpm range you drive in, gear, how fast you accelerate. we dont know any of this, so we cant really make any statement of fuel figures. best using the figure you already have from the car you have now.
  25. ummm...would you like to explain your theory on the exhaust gases getting out of the turbo quicker cause they are hotter?
