The unions are half the problem as to why the US car makers are in so much debt, all the benifits, huge retirement packages and pay rises workers keep getting because of the union. The other problem is they build sh*tty cars.

Phoon Hoon, No mension of the Typhoon, they mainly talked about the models Ford handed them to play with, which was the XR6T, FPV GT and a Territory Ghia. (and the Focus ST from UK) Savage D: Vol.51, No.12 which is June, 2006 issue. Miyagi: yhelothar!

It is my understanding the current Falcon cannot be made to a LHD. However, hopefully the next Falcon will be and Ford US gets some (more R&D $$ for Ford Aust then to make even better cars)

Don't forget this engine STOCK in the Volvo S60R makes 224kw... so with some tuning this car will be a quick little bugger... Like Mondie said... TQ steer will be a b**ch, none the less... FUN!

Just got my new issue of Car and Driver in the mail today. On the cover it says "The cars that could save Ford now!" So I immediatly think about the Aussie line up... and I was right! Nice little article on the Falcons, Territory and also the Ford Focus ST (aka XR5 Turbo) Article should be on the Car and Driver website in a couple of weeks. If anyone is interested I can try to my best at taking some photos of the article with my digi cam. Cheers!

Exactly. They have some really nice RWD platforms now being used in the Lexus models. My guess is these are just to expensive to use and would make the cost of the car too much. However, surely they could modify one of these platforms to make it cheaper. Build it in Aust, offer a V8 model and add Toyota to the Aussie V8 Supercar series to give the old Expensive Daewoo VS Ford game a new twist

It says over 190kw. That new 3.5 V6 makes 201kw here in the new Camry and Rav 4, 230kw in the new Lexus IS350. The engine definatly has some zing. There has been several people who have matched the magazines time of a 13.6 ¼ mile already in the IS350. Car looks good, but they really needed to make a car off one of their rwd platforms to compete with Falcon and Late model camira I think.

The Pontiac GTO made for the US exhaust is slightly louder. I don't know for sure, but I would think this would be the exhaust they are trying to sell. Like most factory options, your money is better spent at an aftermarket company.

However, I was inspired for my signature after seeing yet again, XR6T owners/drivers talking about "smashing" or "hammering" Porsches and Ferraris etc claiming they are a waste of money that a XR6T has more performance etc. Cheers

and of course the V8 Supercar was running Optimax° 98? You could say the same for the rotary, have a more modern RX-7 from the JGTC with one of the professional Japanese drivers to go against Lowndes and the 888.

I am waiting for someone to say it... "Why spend all that money when you can mod a XR6T to be just as quick?" Come on. You guys are letting me down! Bugatti is an awesome car. Can not wait to see one in person. The exhaust note in that video sounded mighty hot too!
