Heya, My mate was looking at getting a BOV for his BA xr6 turbo. He has a stock one at the moment, but wants the pressure release sound. The car is running at 14psi so has alot to let out. What types of BOVs are out there? I have looked through the board and get the idea that the GFB stealth BOV is most popular, but at $500 it is a pricey. Is there anything for like sub 300? Also, how do you install it? Does is it go in the same spot as the stock BOV? Thanks alot, L.

Ah thanks alot. Understanding it now As for the CAI? You still need a CAI as the engine needs air when it isn't on boost? I think. So you would put that under the battery?

Oh, so the air goes into the front of the turbo, and is spit out the back? A pipe then runs front the rear of the turbo, under it, around near the CAI and into the intercooler? On the rapid systems site they offer high flow and performer. The highflow doesn't use the crossover. What are the benefits of this? Does this mean I remove the CAI altogether? thanks for the prompt reply.

Heya, Just trying to understand the workings of the turbo in a mates BA XR6 turbo. The car is modified so here is a picture of the engine bay. In a normal turbo/intercooler system doesn't the turbo spit out hot air into the intercooler, the intercooler cools the air, making it more dense and spits it into the plenum, then into the engine? http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr150/heeeryowen/car8.jpg So, the turbo spits out hot air into the cross over? The intercooler puts cold air into the cross over and then the hot/cold air is put into the engine? How does the CAI come into it? Where does the turbo get air from? Where does the intercooler get the air from? Sorry if this isn't the right section.

Looking around this thread, I am guessing that since he is 19, the $2,000p.a mark is about right for comprehensive? Is it cheaper to put the car in your parents name, and put you as a 10%/youngest driver? How much should I tell them about the car? List every single mod? What happens if I get it insured, then I modify it? Do I have to tell them? Thanks alot.

Heya, Was looking at tinting some tail lights on a White BA XR6 Turbo. I remember seeing a picture of a white XR6 Turbo with the tail lights tinted, just wondering if anyone has something similar.
