    D2 Racing brakes

TUV APPROVAL TUV APPROVAL Most Brembo aftermarket applications are TUV-approved. TUVdotCOM Services - HOME 9105039099 All certificates (system and product) of D2 RACING SPORT CO., LTD. All certificates (system and product) of D2 RACING SPORT CO., LTD. Management System Certificates of D2 RACING SPORT CO., LTD. 1 system certificate(s) found Hopefully the German testing company (TUV) that tested and certified the Brembo system as well as the D2 system did more than put their name to a piece of junk and put the D2 system to the same testing proceedures. :banghead:

    D2 Racing brakes

Hey Zap, I have to agree with a lot of things that you had say regarding compliance; but there are a lot of xr6t owners pumping 300-400RWKw running std brakes. This would have to be way above the ADR limits of testing and no manufacturer would meet compliance. I increased my stopping power before I increased engine power, D2 are not bembro but they have cut my brake distance by at least half, they feel safe and the fronts have been on for 20,000 km with no probs at all. If other manufactures e.g. wilwood,AP and others cannot/ have not been ADR approved are they also to be avoided for the prospect of malfunction. Budget restraints put bembros out of reach; and yes You get what you pay for, but for me whoe before go, so I chose these NON-CHINESE Manufactured or owned D2 brake upgrade which was designed as a direct bolt on to the BF (and did go straight on). One contributer mentioned that a bolt came loose, but otherwise this D2 system has good reports from track day users around the globe, whether they be ricers or not. Some people use parts on there cars which are not the BEST MONEY CAN BUY and can still be happy with what they have got and personally I do trust these calipers and the NON-CHINESE engineering is supurb. :banghead:

Thanks, I'll sleep much better with that info. Checked compliance and found only engineers report to gain ADR compliance if required, through independent ADR certifier. DOH!

Brake blocks and rotors have world wide compliance in most countries, including Australia; but braided hoses need separate ADR compliance for OZ. I have fitted D2 8 pot to front and 6 pot rears, straight forward bolt on, but massive stopping power. I have been running the fronts for 6 months now and fitted the rears 2 days ago, bang for buck this is good value and look good too.
  5. I have 3.5 inch dump with 2.5 inch screamer pipe seems to deliver extraordinary torque,850Nm
  6. I've always used Bendix Ultimate, they are dusty (so What) and they do stop hard, DBA Aust does not like them used in conjunction with X-Drilled / Slotted, But I never had any trouble with my BA, So long as when they are hot, you do not sit at lights or extended periods with the peddle down hard as this holds the heat under the pad as the rotor begins to cool and can cause X_Drilled to crack. that is why slotted is better for track work. The Bendix ultimate are fairly exy (Pricey) around $190.00 for fronts from memory, so the best thing to do is apply on-line for a REPCO discount card for 10/15%? of your purchase; OR the next step down is the Bendix performer, still great for the street but a lot easier on the rotor wear and tear. Cheers.
  7. With DBA I have used and recommend Bendix Ultimate They stop like you would not believe. But I just Fitted these Today.
  8. Hey Jamie, put me down for a run, It'll keep me off the streets and .out of trouble.
  9. Spotted HER FPV around Stafford- is there a HIS FPV too?Her_FPV.bmp
  10. I have the aftermarket rims, But I have genuine FPV centers. Side by side the clear cote on the fpvs has a better finish and the accent colour is a bit deeper on the fpvs as well.
  11. that would tear my heart out! I thought the security features made it almost impossible to steal this model, was it left open? I got 3 of my new rims KEYED badly on new years. I always avoid parking next to hoon cars and holdens( Expensive Daewoo drivers always seem a bit disturbed when they see a turbo badge). when at a shopping centre carparks and things dont seem quite right, I take a quick mobile pic of rego plate for referance. Cheers.
  12. Can anyone tell me can you work out a speed from a 60 foot time, Example: 1.78 seconds and 2 seconds. then convert this to kp/h. or, do you need more information. cheers, Mark.
  13. Got this little black VW. It flys too, think I saw a turbo badge on there somewhere! Northside Brizy, Gympie Rd, Aspley. Just yesterday.

  17. My old BA Futura Was Crawling on it's Belly since a week after I bought it from new(How Low? Damn Low!). LOWFUTURA started of as the Bluetooth name for my mobile phone and went on from there.
  18. Hey Henry, sorry I made it sound like such an easy task, but it is when you know and even easier when you have access to a hoist and air gun. At the very least, if you don't do the work, when the wheels are off; have a bit of a look around the brake caliper and rotor area just to see how it all goes together and how it works. Some of the smaller workshops will even let you watch, then it won't seem so daunting for you next time, remember its all nuts and bolts and nothing a bit of hand cleaner wont fix. cheers.
  19. Hey, thanks fellas. That was quick. cheers.
  20. Hey everybody, was wondering if anyone had some good quality, close up PICS of a "T" top end with the rocker cover removed. A mate of mine wants to draw it (picture) by hand and I ain't taking mine off. So, If you can help thanks.
